seems i need to tell you a little about myself. i am currently a training officer for a largish company (350 employees) i organise our safeguarding children training, i also process our CRB (DBS) checks. so. i am in a position of knowledge. i am also in a position of having some common sense and am not taken in by the rabid media. -

we should ban pockets. just think. the dirty sods could be touching themselves while looking at children. lol where does it stop; BAN EVERYTHING just in case. -

what if the park has a pool (as my local one in Rivelin does)? why run? this is getting fun? trying to work out if your for real or not. so far you have given no facts, only a few short stories that infer people with cameras are not trustworthy. -

here we go again., so the scenario you suggested (friend of a friend looking at pics) was not actually your facebook but someone elses? i am listening to your viewpoint but so far i see nothing more than the views of someone who has been royally taken in to suspect everyone. and your right we dont live in such a perfect world. but we also dont live in one where every adult male is suspect. i think my realistic view on the world is closer to reality than your suspicious one. a question. your in the park. its a summers day. standing at one end is an old bloke with a tripod and expensive camera. he is there for a long time and takes a lot of photos. whats your first thoughts? theres a paedo? Ban the camera? phone the police? what? -

why the name calling nutty34? you gave a scenario and i picked a few holes in it. the reason you gave was flawed. hardly a reason to be insulting. -

Thats fine nutty34 so as an IT manager you should have no concerns about friends of friends seeing any photos you post on facebook as you already have your security settings adjusted to stop that happening. In that case your scenario has holes in it. if we are not carefull in a few yrs time 66 million people will be banned from taking photo's in case a handful of people "accidentally" find something on facebook. -

if you dont know how to set up your facebook security so that only friends can see things then there's a lot of info available online to help you do so. set your security and you can stop being sop paranoid. -

the ONLY mention on the net about the incident at the baths was made on this forum http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/archive/index.php/t-626995.html the last post was from a police officer who stated more news would be forthcoming. NONE ever was. so. it never happened. someone made an unfounded allegation maybe? if it had actually happened there would surely be more information about it. dont believe the rumours.. most of them are not true. -

so do you have mutual friends between yourself and the families of the children you foster? or are you just spouting the sensatialist media tripe that has got every one suspecting any adult male. -

so to be clear. i will describe a situation Nutty34 and tell me if i am right or wrong. i am in Rivelin with some friends. i take a bunch of photos. in the background of those photos are some children i post the pics on facebook. somehow the estranged father of one of those children manages to somehow see one of my pics. he recognises that its in rivelin he then hangs around in rivelin to contact his child. are you suggesting thats the Risk? some bloke who does not know me happens to be looking at a complete strangers pictures when he sees his own child? cough***** Bull*****cough. that risk is tiny. smaller in fact than the father just cruising the parks looking for his child. its a risk so tiny that to inconvenience and upset the entire population just smacks of overkill. -

a,b and c ricks so low that there's more chance of being bought a kebab by the queen. but lets not let reality and common sense get in the way of creating more and more petty rules! -

a photo to show you where 6 foot 5, 20 stone and military trained would help. because anyone smaller than that or without that training would get their ass kicked by most people if they stormed into their garden and entered their property without permission. -

ASDA Woodseats, Resurfacing works = NOISE!

maybe they should have done the work weekdays between 9 and 5 when most people are at work? or would that inconvenience people on night shifts? mothers with babies at home? the unemployed? for the OP. if building work has to be done it will ALWAYS inconvience someone. a couple of days in a lifetime is just one of the things we all have to put up with in order for our roads to be usable, car parks to be safe etc. we all know its not what you want to hear but. try chilling out dude lol -
