  1. I've used it since I started dieting last year for tracking food. It's a great site, you just need to make sure you check the values of the food as some can be wrong - i.e. no carbs , fat or protein listed for something which obviously it should be - ala bread with 0 carbs or chicken with 0 protein. As long as you check what your logging, it will work (I lost 8 stone calorie counting since May last year). Good luck !
  2. http://www.sheffield10k.com/sheffield_10k.html 10k run at Endcliffe park, 30th October. Edit: Scratch that, just saw you wern't too keen on the Ten Ten Ten
  3. Are you looking for one at a Gym or one to train you outside of a Gym ? I've been working with a trainer at PureGym (near queens road /st marys gate) since May and lost 5.5 stone, if you want his details PM me, 1 hour sessions are £20.00 but he does discounts for block booking. I don't think he trains outside the Gym but at £17 a month for the gym membership its pretty convenient with access to equipment also and the hourly prices aren't too bad either.
  4. I'm on week eight of doing WW Online and have lost about 15Kg although i am going to the gym 3/4 times a week and not using any of the weekly extras. I have tried cambridge diet in the past and just trying to manage eating healthily myself but the propoints plan is good guidance for me at least when it comes to planning what I can have and what I can't and I don't have to make it a pain to do - this has been easiest method of losing weight I have ever tried. Also when I joined Quidco had an offer on for £30 quid cashback also so it was well worth it.
  5. Speak to Paul at Express Signs ( http://www.expresssigns.info/ ) up Broadfield Lane, he did our smart car at VeryPC, we supplied the graphics and they did a good job on fitting it to the vehicle so would happily reccomend him, couldnt tell you the price but worth giving him a call.
  6. Hi All, I'm after some advice as to whether I need to renew my passport as I look a bit different than my passport picture 9 years ago. I don't think its dramatically different although one of the guys at work said he reckons they would probably look twice. Has anyone changed theirs due to getting older ?, mines just a case of weight but I think its pretty much similar and I guess the people who check them are used to this sort of thing. Anyone renewed theirs for same reasons ?
  7. Hi all, Our little boy is starting there in January and we were wondering if there is an after school club as I believe I have read that somewhere but can't find the info. Thanks
  8. What are we in for this time ? I'll have to see if local shop has a copy of the star and check it out, was it tonights issue ?, maybe one of guys at work has a copy. We have a pretty good relationship with the star, they like to support local businesses who are doing well, we had one of their guys come in the other day for a chat and a look around our facility. Also the thing with the phone number, BT reassigned our telephone number to an residential address and we've only just got it back. We're running 2 new numbers 0845 0345 017 for our hardware sales and 0845 0345 018 for support and services, they should be on our websites http://www.very-pc.co.uk and http://www.verypcis.co.uk
  9. I played it for about 2/3 years and it is a fun game but it also is a game that requires you to invest a lot of time, especially if you want to see the 'cool' stuff. I'd use the parental controls section of the worldofwarcraft.com website and limit his hours as its really easy for someone to get caught up in the game and spend hours and hours every day playing it (trust me i know).. I know I'm a lot happier myself for not playing it
  10. It may not be a case of knowing what they were doing I think the thing to consider is if they are charging for cleaning a machine up on an hourly basis, it may actually work out cheaper for the customer depending on the degree of infection on the machine to just have it wiped and reinstalled rather than having someone trying to clear off a load of crap and being charged by the hour if its going to take ages. Either way and going back to the op's request, I would say use infrarecorder (http://infrarecorder.org/), its a good alternative and will save you a little bit of money.
  11. You could always try infrarecorder which is an opensource (free) piece of software for burning cd's and dvd's - http://infrarecorder.org/ I prefer this to Nero personally.
  12. I started off in a similar manner where I had experience doing computer stuff for friends and family but no actual 'real job' experience, luckily I got a rung on the ladder years ago doing 1st line support for Dixons/PCW/Currys and even after falling off said ladder for a while it gave me a fair bit of experience for the job I do now, so even if 1st line isn't where you want to be it will help you get to where you want to go eventually. I would look at what qualities you can offer them, if your doing 1st line support then you could consider things such as do you find it easy talking to people and on the flip side can you listen to people aswell, do you find it easy to explain technical things to non technical people in a manner which they can relate to and can you give give instruction clearly and quickly to people to help them fix their problems, can you take ownership of problems, do you work well as part of a team, do you want to develop your skills and if so how, there's loads of things you could add on your application to sell yourself as that is what you are doing essentially, its cliché but just think if you were the guy hiring and going to invest time and money in someone, what you would expect. One other thing I think that has has been mentioned here is that confidence is a huge plus point, be confident in your approach to problems, people will pick up on it and respect you for it
  13. try rackage.com, my wow guild had a TS server from them for about a year and half and service was always pretty good. A 15 slot (thats the minimum) vent server from them will cost you £3.00 a month, if you buy multiple months you will get a bit of discount.
  14. try http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/
