My mum got diagnosed with Vascular Dementia about 4 months ago and is going downhil very quickly. I just wondered if anyone could suggest anywhere in Sheffield where I could get any information on this condition, something that will help me to understand what she is going through and how to help me deal with her condition. My mum lives with my dad in Scotland so I only se her when I can manage to go up for visit. They are about to be moved to sheltered accomodation where there will be a warden on duty but I doubt it wil be long before my mum will need the care of a home instead. If anyone can sugest anywhere to help, or any books etc, even if anyone else is going through the same thing I would love to hear from you. Many thanks

I read it was in an accident at work when they had only been married 4 months. I think she has a girlfriend who she has been with for 2 years but she did say the other night that she thinks she has been dumped because her girlfriend wasn't in the video from home.

I wish they would stop the save and replace task now and I would really love them to do something really bad that ends with them all being up next week. I don't mind John James but can't stand Josie but as I am really fed up with the 2 of them always being together and practically ignoring everyone else. I think one of them needs to go soon!!! Last night was pathetic when BB split them up and they were sitting in doorways talking, then they both ended up sleeping on floor together, pathetic!!!! give us all a break:mad:

I currently have a Nokia 6300 and am ready for an update. I want to stick with Nokia and don't want touch screen, the phone I am considering is Nokia C5. My current phone has WiFi but no 3G, the Nokia C5 has 3G but no WiFi. I mainly use my phone for calls and texting, I do have internet but very seldom use it because connection is slow and screen is small. I can't even get my email on my phone ( blueyonder ) as it appears not to be compatible. Can someone please explain the differences between WiFi and 3G, ( in very basic language please,lol).What will this mean to me in terms of internet. Also if someone else can offer an alternative phone please do so. Well just changed inks, got original Epson ones in now, no problems worked 1st time, I am going to make a note of the date and just see how long they last me.

I just gone to Staples and bought Original Epson ones for £34.99!!!!! Expensive but can't be bothered messing around trying to find other compatible ones.

Just wanted to point out that not everyone is entitled to free bus pass, there are some rules that apply. Have a look at link http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/education/information-for-parentscarers/school-transport My son's school is 4 1/2 miles from our house but because it is not our catchment school he is not entitled to free pass. This is fair enough I suppose as it was our choice not to send him to catchment school. I have also been through appeals process but on different grounds. I would think you would have very good reasons for appealing, if you don't drive how on earth do they expect you to get 2 children to 2 different schools at same time!!!!!!! And they are obviously too young to travel on their own, have they put him on waiting list?

Aha, that would indeed explain it,lol. I was watching The Sex Education Show on Ch4 about 2 weeks ago.

I watched them with my 13yr old son and found them to be very informative and well presented, at no point did I find anything offensive, and I don't remember any item relating to pornography!!

I hate the new opening credits, it makes the programme look really old fashioned. What's happened to Molly and Tyrone, they seem to have vanished from our screens, I hate when some characters have great big story lines then you don't see them again for months.

I tried these, they worked great to begin with and I thought this is great all colours and only cost £6.99 but after a week ink level had dropped to half on all colours then a week later it now says " ink cartridges not recognised", so maybe not such a good buy after all. Think I will stick to originals.

UPDATE Hooray fixed now:D My husband ended up using a wooden spoon and a hammer, put round part of spoon on disk and gave 2 sharp whacks on other end with hammer, job done, we will know what to do if it happens again. P.S. My kids have been told never to wash there hands in there again after playing in sand:hihi: Thanks for all suggestions.

I have a bit of a dilema. The sink in my bathroom has one of those swivel disks for a plug, yesterday my son washed his hands in sink after he had played in sand pit, now because of all the sand the disk has stuck in the closed position, we have tried everything we can think of including, filling sink with hot water, cold water, banging it, nothing seems to want to shift it, any ideas?

I did take today off work but I am a dinner lady at primary school so only work just over an hour a day, doubt I could have walked to school anyway.

I don't feel that bad after all I am managing to type on here, just keep feeling hot and cold with bit of cough.

I started with a headache on friday, by saturday night I was beginning to feel a bit achey. When I woke up on sunday I felt shocking, sore throat, cough, terrible headache and I was freezing one minute boiling the next. Today I have felt pretty much the same although the headache has eased a lot now, thank goodness. Strange thing is I haven't had a cold, my nose has been fine.
