I stumbled across this place today, I was curious of it's history and a google search brought me here (old thread I know). It was still in a sorry state, alot of the buildings roof timbers had come down, the cellar was full of rubish, glass everywhere etc http://i.imgur.com/eFdXjfC.jpg

Thank you for the replies, tried waterstones after seeing the replies but was OOS.

Does anyone know if this is available in store? Only reseller I can see is Amazon but it also has £3 or so postage (waterstones, wh smith, boot people etc all appear OOS).

My pet hate is people tutting, rolling eyes and generally acting superior to others on a simple shopping trip (ie 90% of replies on this thread).

Thank you Moz, I did think of yourself on Saturday and looked online for your address but it stated you were having surgery, glad to see your back. Well I hoped it was that simple, but Apple has a checker webpage and the Meadowhall store shows no available appointments, it's telling me closest genius bar with a free slot this week is Thursday in Manchester. -

As I understand it, once payment has been taken a contract has been agreed and they must honour it. Keep it quiet though, the less people who buy it the more chance you have to get it at the miss price (that said, pls drop me a quick link if they are still at this low price ).

I'm looking for the same, I like to look at the hotness rating and comments from people on hotukdeals, it helps having the feedback and comments without doing your own homework. http://www.hotukdeals.com Current ones I'm considering .. http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/hisense-h49m3000-49-smart-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-tv-354-ao-2479975 http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/lg-49uf640v-49-inch-4k-ultra-hd-smart-tv-429-argos-2480012 http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/panasonic-tx-48cx400b-48-smart-3d-4k-ultra-hd-tv-black-389-del-with-code-ao-2480103

Help me find this village!
muddywolf replied to bertyboop's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
I love driving random places too, it's a great way to explore test your back tracking and memory. Must admit I was bored and curious so looked at all derbyshire villages with a spar, nisa & mccoys but didn't find what that fit the description. I bet when you find it, it is totally different than your remember or you end up disappointed, things never seem as good as you remember them. -
The consequence thread (Brexit)
muddywolf replied to tzijlstra's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
We will remember this day for a long time, better or worse. The out voters wanted to see Cameron out, and an end to immigration simple as that IMO, they will succeed in the former but the latter will be much harder, time will tell if it was worth the price we could all pay. Personally speaking I am licking my wounds, I have saved for the past 10 years, saving into S&S isa, personal stocks which some have fallen 20% in just a day, I'm far from rich just trying to get the first step on the housing ladder the events of today reset my efforts years. Rather worried for the next 10 years, a big decision was made from just a 2% difference, I feel like a storm is coming and I don't even have a jacket. -
EU Referendum - How will you vote?
muddywolf replied to Havanaclub's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
The odds are certain for a remain, if people are confident of a vote leave you can currently get £640 back from a £100 bet. https://m.smarkets.com/politics/uk/eu-referendum/referendum-result/ -
Phone socket faceplate do I need one for fibre.
muddywolf replied to muddywolf's topic in Computer & Tech Chat
Thanks for the replies, Scimsfan and durrbop will look into those, will see if it works direct from the test socket first if not I'll order the new faceplate + lower cover. -

muddywolf replied to muddywolf's topic in Computer & Tech Chat
Thanks Tzijlstra, I have looked at it seems Sky Fibre is self install (no engineer visit). I expect the router will sync / test initially the days after first install, I dont want to gimp it's speed and give it a false reading if i'm not using a faceplate or wrong type. Would be easier if it was a visit I agree. -
Hello, My phone socket does not have a faceplate installed, my ADSL router and phone are plugged direct into the 'test' socket apparently (not sure why, it has been like this since I moved in and landlord said it was fine). I have ordered Sky Fibre and I think I really should have one. I expected the engineer to put one in however this looks like it is self install, can anyone tell me which type I need / best one? I have looked at it is rather baffling.. NTE5 vs Filtered vs BT-i plate! What shall I get please?
