vicki85 replied to CorkerSWFC's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I don't know him, but I certianly hope that story is true and not an urban myth-that he got to live out his final days happy and loved -
Cheapest Houses to buy in Sheffield?
vicki85 replied to Miss_S_83's topic in Sheffield Property & Housing
I don't 100% understand it either, but I think for a lot of people its about being able to GET the mortgage. With only havingna mortgage on 1/2 it would be easier -
2 female guinea pigs looking for a home - rehomed
vicki85 replied to Pigger's topic in Sheffield Pet Owners
I just had the fright of my life, was reading through this and saw and thought OH was up to something evil, one of our 8/9 month old piggies is called Gert (and incidentally also gets on with dogs) Good luck with it Vicki -
Chippinghouse Road, S7, problems?
vicki85 replied to Multibeam100's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Just be warned that some of the 'recommendations' for plumbers and the likes are not exactly as they seem (ie, rope in a friend with a spare half hour) -
Indeed, adds a good twist to chilli
-
Thanks, have done just that
-
I find that highly unlikely, it goes in nearly everything in our house. Since I moved to Sheffield, Hendersons has been my greatest discovery (erm....best keep that quiet from the OH)

Go to sheff.gov.uk and then into environmental services, follow the links about recycling etc etc and eventually you'll get a contact number for Viola (or whatever they're called)

Any nice chinese or curry places that deliver?
vicki85 replied to clairerob's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Since when were chips Indian, and to be honest, I'm not sureI could trust anywhere that sells 'chicken curry' all bit vague. For me, Curry Mahal is still worth the drive (and I live just off Abbeydale road-centre of the curry universe) -
No, I'm wearing one everywhere, although at least for once it exaplins the odd looks
-
Why am I wearing a jumper, is abbeydale road in its own little ecoclimate or something?
-
Can I ask roughly how much it would cost to have your average terrace downstiars room plastered, I think its about 10' x 10' but could be wrong. Am curious following some work a friend had done which seemed a lot Maybe I should say concerned, not curious, I don't want to know just because I am nosey, they were worried

Hannifah was a burger bar until a few months back (if that long) and still looks very much like one from the outside. Even as a burger/kebab/pizza shop it wasn't the sort of place I would have exactly eaten off the floor in (if you catch my drift) and I was forever delivering pizzas to the flat upstairs, which must say soemthing. -
The car that was burnt out on Ecclesall Road?
vicki85 replied to Scammy's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Hmmm, all looks like a bit too much of a coincidence. There was an X5 being removed form the Pomona at about 9:30 slightly crumpled at the front and burnt-but from the front, rather than the inside as most joy riders would. Maybe Eccy road has some sort of wierd volcanic effect! -

The X5, it was in Pomona car park this morning, or is there another one? -
The G star shop appears to have a big sale on at the mo!

The smaller rescues are mopre adaptable and can spend the time considering individual cases. Thornberry ahve been fantastic with us so far-offered advice about gates and our shared yard (even said we didn't need our own individual gate as long as we could baracade the gap until the dog learnt and never left it alone) other centres dismissed us when we just tried to ask! Also thornberry said to us it depends on the dog (which is so very true) when we were last there there was a family (two young kids, would guess both under 7) picking up a yorkie Vicki

You proabably will find somewhere that would do it, but do you want someone with no disregard for regulations sticking needles in you.........think hepatitis, HIV and blood poisoning for a start.
