  1. Hi all, I'll start off by saying that i know this is a long shot, but any means possible! I'm hoping to get up to Northern Norway early next week, to visit a friend who's recently gone through some bad times. Flying up is all well but once you hit Scandinavia, some form of magic takes place and everything costs around 3 times as much, this meaning getting up there always costs an eye watering amount. I'm basically wondering if by pure luck, anyone happens to be driving up towards Scandinavia around this time or knows someone who is. (Even cargo ship). Doesn't have to be Northern Norway, just anywhere closer to Norway. Money would obviously be paid for travel costs etc. As i say, i know it's a long shot but it would be truly epic if something came through. Any info/anything much appreciated Thanks, Lewis Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

  3. Hi all, Just acquired a new pair of cross country skis, but they have bindings that i have not come across before. Can anyone tell me the name/what type of bindings these are please? Thanks in advance. Lewis http://img641.imageshack.us/i/bindings1.jpg/ http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/7962/bindings2v.jpg
  4. Coating here in S11 as mentioned. Was already planning Mam Tor tomorrow so perfect!
  5. I have no idea what part. Sorry. I don't imagine it's worth attempting, unless your destination is somewhere along the Snake.
  6. I have no idea, sorry. I can't see why a landslide would warrant the chopper though
  7. Hi all. Just a quick message to let people know that the Snake Pass is currently closed due to a landslide. The Winnats Pass is also closed. Possibly due to a landslide. Lewis
  8. Hi all. I've just come back from spending a while in the Netherlands. I came across a shop there called Simon Levelt. Simon Levelt specialises in tea and coffee across the Netherlands. Having spent alot of time and money in that shop, it got me wondering. Surely there is a market for this in England? I don't recall coming across a proper specialist shop in Sheffield though (Simon Levelt has a range of around 400 teas and coffees, changing constantly, as new harvests are cropped) Am i completely oblivious to one of these shops, hiding itself away? If not, do people think there would be a serious market for it, here in England? It's huge over there, never once was i in this shop, when it wasn't packed. I would love to hear what people think. 9. Over here in Northern Norway it's -24c or so at the moment and more snow than is imaginable. Homesick!
  10. Hi all, Against everything i'm feeling, i am rehoming my 3 rats, as i am going to work in Norway. Words can't describe how reluctant i am, but they need a new home. A bit about them: Species of animal to be rehomed: Rat Rehome or Sale?: Rehome Reason for Rehome / Sale: Moving abroad Sale Amount: N/A Location: Ecclesall Has the Pet been in Rescue Previously?: No Can the animal be picked up and put into a basket without the risk of scratching or biting?: Yes Age & Sex: 9 months/Female Colour/coat type: 2 black and white, 1 albino Can the animal be groomed/handled without biting or scratching?: Yes Live in / out: In Neutered/spayed: No (Same sex group) Any Current or Historical Health or Psychological Issues: None Temperament: Friendly Any special knowledge needed: None bite, if they know you. To stay with each other, no other rats and not to be split up. These rats mean the world to me and i will not rehome them without knowing about the person they are going to. Rat's take alot of care and attention. I may need to see the place they are being rehomed to, all this may seem very strict, but as i said, i love these rats Feel free to get in touch with me. Regards, Lewis
  11. It wont reach -18c in Sheffield next week. I don't feel the need to provide evidence of that. It may well reach that at the peaks in the highlands of Scotland, but only the highest of peaks around there. Are you talking about Sheffield or somewhere in the UK?
  12. I'm not condoning what he did Neutral body but... He urinated somewhere he shouldn't have, he didn't kill somebody whilst drunk driving.......
  13. I wish i'd seen this a month back! (Even though it's not been up that long) I'm a drummer, S11 area, was looking for a band, or looking to start one, i'm off to Norway in 5 weeks time now though ! I'll ask a few stickjockey mates and see if anyone's interested.
  14. I wish this was posted a month or two ago! I was wanting exactly the same thing, all mates were occupied in January. I'm travelling in Norway now though. Great opportunity here people!

  16. There is an off road route leading from The Fox House pub, to near The Norfolk Arms pub, that's quite a nice route (only ever done it on a MTB). There is another one along Rushup Edge, near Mam Tor, again i've only ever done this on a mountain bike, it's a good route though.
  17. As disrepectful as it was, i think 'Lowlife scum' is a bit over the top?
  18. If people were wanting to put something ablaze through a letterbox, the stricter sale of fireworks isn't going to stop them. They'll set something else on fire, i'm sure.
  19. Surely getting the permission of (roughly) 26 million homeowners would be slightly, erm, tough?
  20. ^^^^ Not the students, but to the board who have possibly decided on it being banned. Why not just try get a few more people on the streets monitoring or something? Why just stop it full stop?
