  1. Donkey isn't referring to the winning of an election. He is referring to the type of person selected to become candidates and the way they conduct themselves once in Parliament. Our 'class warriors' are no longer. We have to choose between Tory 'posh boys' or Labour 'posh boys'. To my mind Parliament has lost touch with the people and most MP's have lost the plot. Our leaders have forgotten their roots. Politics is now classed as 'un-cool' amongst the young and the typical breeding grounds for Socialists, the pits and steelworks are no more.
  2. :hihi::hihi: Charles is struggling under the weight of those medals....................................I heard he got an extra big one for tackling Camilla, a very brave man indeed. ---------- Post added 07-01-2013 at 01:14 ---------- Never had you down as a Ukipper Angel, they just appear to be the 'posh' branch of the BNP. [They own a biro but have to share it] ---------- Post added 07-01-2013 at 01:17 ---------- You mean to say someone is actually steering it ?? Well I never...
  3. Organisations are ripping us off with the assistance and blessing of this shower of a Tory Government.............. maybe too many ministers recieving 'favours'. We have HM Opposition, Milliband, Balls [load of] and co. We have Trade Unions who have forgotten why they were formed. NO LEADERSHIP !!! Nice soft MP's jobs, no spirit or conviction [only for fraudulent expenses claims]. I walked past my own Unions offices, the GMB. Their shop front looks more like an insurance brokers than a trade union office. All they do is sell insurance. We dont want total anarchy, just a government which treats people with respect and dignity. Perhaps MP's should be referred to as 'The DIShonourable Member for...........'
  4. Well said it IS as simple as that. Perhaps our spineless Trade Unions could understand this ?? They threw in the towel years ago. I am ashamed of being a Union member because of the lack of leadership but I will not resign.
  5. IF and I repeat IF, people stuck together the world would be a better place. No doubt Cyclone will chip in with his normal negative twopennorth but it really is true. When there were strikes right across Europe last December, where were our Union leaders ?? We should have been supporting our fellow humanbeings. As Smarmy Dave and George Osborne say "We are all in this together". When we do stick together, our police put on their jackboots.
  6. I was in business for 14 years, wound it up 9 years ago and some customers [some of them 'old friends'] STILL owe me money. I now dont trust anyone with money. You think you know a person 'til they owe you something. They are now no longer on my friends list.........its their loss. ---------- Post added 05-01-2013 at 22:53 ---------- Yep, had one or two of these as well. I stick to my local one now, Carters at Chapeltown. Spot on, fair prices and good service.
  7. As a disabled guy myself I suggest all able bodied folk take a chill pill and respect Disabled Parking Bays for what they are for. Feel free to park in my place..........if I can enjoy your health and fitness. I would gladly exchange my Blue Badge for your health. Its sad when fines and tickets have to be issued due to people being inconsiderate.
  8. It is a nice area blighted by a handfull of troublemakers and hindered by lack of police activity. A more pro- active style of policing would sort it immediately. Its the same old offenders and troublesome families making a nuiscance of themselves. This unfortunate murder is terrible. The whole community is upset and in shock. A guy who cares about his fellow humans was killed by one such 'lowlife'. It's so sad...............
  9. Well said my friend............I am just as impressed by our local constabulary as you are....... The local police need more than their budgets squeezing. ---------- Post added 03-01-2013 at 20:53 ---------- My sentiments entirely.
  10. Everyone should forfeit a portion of their income, earned or unearned and give it all to me. Thats the best idea I've ever had.
  11. True, a load of Torys claim to be Christians but they lack any sort of humanity. Their God is the almighty GBP Sterling.
  12. I dont like football.I find it pointless and boring but I dont go on the football forums knocking it. Everyone to his own. I went thru' the Marxist stage over 40 years ago, it was part of my journey towards tolerance and respect for others. The Church itself does nothing for Christianity.............their attitudes to women bishops and their lack of tolerance towards gay marriage appalls me. It still dosent affect my beliefs
  13. Its only the same as now, X Factor crap pushing decent musicians into the shade. The public is fickle, they are mainly followers and have to be told what to wear, what to like, who to like and what music to listen to. It will never change.......
  14. The non-believer has no views on religion, or does he ?? They often sound unsure to me, more like agnostics. The ones who constantly question the existence of a God and claim not to believe amaze me. I believe, I have faith, its not Catholic based, nor protestant, nor Methodist, but just plain Christianity. It provides me with comfort, it gives me rules to live by and gives me a humanitarian view of life. If it was proved beyond all doubt that there was no God I doubt my attitude to society would change. I would still behave in a Christian manner.
  15. Increase thresholds and give tax allowances for children and marriage. Simples............[i think we may have been there before til some bright spark changed it all...
  16. Your faith is a private issue within yourself. It is not to be questioned by other people. The atheist who bores everyone everyone with his reasoning is as bad as the religious fundamentalist.. My faith is my affair, its not up for discussion..........
  17. The sooner Mr Duncan Smith is 'disposed of' the better. He is a complete failure as a politician, a soldier, a student. The plonker is useless. [Google him]. He is Camerons hatchet man, not fit to do anything else.....
  18. The Hillsboro' disaster was a sad affair, but police dishonesty [altering notebooks etc] and Master Duckenfields sudden departure leaves a nasty taste. They appeared to run a cover up when they had no need to. If they had been honest in the first place it would have all been over by now and the credibility of the force would have remained intact. Sir Irvine was 'used'.
  19. If all the guys working for NMW went on indefinate strike the country would be buggered. Just a thought............
  20. Him and South Yorkshire Police as well. However, I do believe he was only repeating the crap the police fed him. RIP Sir Irving, I dont personally think you realised how untrue your information was.
  21. Well said. Smarmy Dave is already intimating that the unemployed, the disabled, the old and infirm are a drain on the economy. His allies at the Daily Mail never shut up about such people. Usual right wing drivel.........if Dave cant stand the heat tell him to get out of the kitchen. ---------- Post added 31-12-2012 at 00:38 ---------- You CAN influence Labour policy. Join a Union, Join the Labour Party, BUT, above all, go to meetings. Its like wading in treacle, but it works. Labour are by no means perfect but they are the best hope we have. Face facts..........
  22. Were the Nazi's studying genetics and reasons for disablement ?? YES !!!! Its well documented. Dr. Josef Mengele was a main exponent and was personally instrumental in carrying out murders, abortions etc., all in the name of science and ultimately, to develop a suitable gene pool to create 'The Master Race'. Its difficult not to cite the Nazi's in a discussion on this subject. As for UKIP....................
  23. I can manage with the odd call on the mobile and the free texts on my contract. Thats if I can find a signal anywhere. It was very difficult on the Chesterman wards.
