  1. If you finish in 3rd place and lose then yes, the playoffs aren't fair But if you sneek into 6th place on the last day of the season, and end up getting promoted in the finals, even via penalties then you probably think the playoffs are the best thing since sliced bread If the owls finish in 3rd, I don't fancy their chances in the playoffs
  2. Excellent comeback from the owls Well done to the team and manager Keep the faith
  3. Nightmare end of season for the owls Lose to all the teams they should beat Lose to Bolton in the semi finals is my prediction
  4. I've fought in both world wars and I have to say in all my 63 years on this earth I have never seen the owls fall apart like this How can you drop points against teams near the bottom of the league when automatic promotion was so close
  5. Luton have the run in from Hell when you look at the fixtures. If you were to wish the worst run in on your worst rival/football team you would send that team to 2 fellow playoff contenders and to Rotherham So looking good for the blades for there chances
  6. Some owls fans think the owls are underachieving, despite being top of the league
  7. Neighbour said if you going to bet on football always choose Ipswich as they never lose Owls v Ipswich to gain automatic promotion, where is the betting money going to go?
  8. Team at bottom of league This has all the indications of a blades slip up Wigan 6 - 0 blades
  9. The owls aim to fail where others succeed. Seen some Lincoln fans starting to arrive, some scary looking fans among them
  10. Going to be a few goals to savoir in that fixture Burnley fans certainly didn't complain about tjhe lack of goals when they played man City, and I can't imagine blades fans having to sit through a low score bore fest
  11. To travel to a top of the league stadium and to hold the monsters of league 1 to a draw, has to be seen as a victory from Boltons perspective.
  12. If it gets a few cars off the road maybe it's a good thing? I can't be the only person who hates getting stuck in traffic jams A recent study found that the higher the charges are, the more effective the charging zones are. A study found that if you charge £5 per day this will remove 2% of cars from the road, if you charge £250 per day this would remove 95% of cars from the road So it seems the higher the charges the more people start considering the impact of their actions on the environment and instead walk or cycle If 95% of car owners stop using their cars then I won't get stuck in traffic jams
  13. The brown bins got blown over on our road, so I picked up everyones bin and placed the brown bin back on the pavements. I did leave the bloke who lives at number 12 bin in the middle of the road, because his cat uses my garden as a public right of way and toilet. His bin was left in the middle of the road. By 5pm today when the bloke at number 12 got home from work, there was rubbish everywhere from his bin, I was tempted to report him
  14. As a 58 year old who fought in 2 word wars in the last century, I've never seen hysteria like it I can remember as a lad the snow was above our rooftops and we still managed to get to school or work Life didn't stop in those days, and let me tell you winters in those days lasted for 10 months of the year Not just one snowy day in March 6 inches, woeful I'd expect at least 12 inches
  15. Amazing sight of one of my elderly neighbours clearing the road of snow, now that is public spirited, I watched the old fella for the last 2 hours shovelling snow away Bravo that man, that is the difference between the older generation and todays generation, he is 67 years old and I reckon fought in both world wars. While it is public spirited, nobody on our street is going to work so possibly a pointless exercise, especially given the snow will have melted away tomorrow no doubt But this is a fine example of previous generations who would have been prepared to show a bit of backbone and shovel away the snow and society to get on, the can do attitude modern britain is sadly lacking
  16. I think its disgusting that bus drivers are not working I have been snowed in because of the snow, can't go to work so I was hoping to go to the pub, but guess what, No buses? How can people who can't go to work get to the pub, if the buses aren't running?
  17. Why not give the Wisewood driver the bus to take home, then when he wakes up he gets in his bus and does the wisewood route The problem with society these days is there is a can't do attitude
  18. Maybe a solution to the buses could be, the driver of the Wisewood bus lives in wisewood and only drives the Wisewood Route only The driver of the Stocksbridge bus, lives in stocksbridge and only drives the stocksbridge bus The driver of the woodseats bus lives in Woodseats and only drives the Woodseat bus Could this be a solution to lack of buses when it snows?
  19. But does it not show how pathetic humans are? Cat saying it might be snowing but I'm carrying on regardless, this country needs a bit of backbone
  20. I've just seen a cat with a can do attitude making its way through the snow. Maybe more humans could follow this cats example
  21. Not bad not bad Top of the league, my only gripe is that I would like to have seen more goals in this game
  22. I guess if you don't have to earn a living then yes the lack of traffic could make your life more plesant There seems to be 2 sides with this argument, those who have to go to work and those middle class people who have found themselves in a position where they don't have to physically work to pay the bills, ie, retired with a good pension for example They need to find a way to bring those that have to work more onside, maybe give them £1000 per month (an idea) so they don't physically have to do as much work to pay the bills, maybe they can then afford to only work part time? Until this problem of those who have to earn a living is solved this will be a subject that will devide people. Get some dosh given to people who are concerned about their ability to earn a living, and I reckon those people will be more onside with these charging schemes They did something very similar with furlough, paid people to not work and many people were very happy with this arrangement
  23. I never thought of that All motorbikes, diesels and petrol cars off the roads But let hybrids use the roads If we did that, that would reduce congestion, get cleaner air and I could still use the roads with my car
