kirkbylad replied to kirkbylad's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
I told them they would never be able to demonstrate a loss as the was no initial loss. He was quite amicable really about it and understood where our business was coming from. -

Airliner possibly shot down over Ukraine
kirkbylad replied to Obelix's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
Putin is now trying to blame Ukraine for this because they are have renewed a campaign against the separatists. That really is trying to pass the buck. One wonders if the US/EU is actually going to get tough over this.... -

Private Parking Ticket Megathread (Part 2)

The trouble with that is that some staff on the phone for these companies are actually fairly decent. Being on the phone to them everyday and all that you kind of start to realise that. So i wouldn't want decent people out of a job Did have an interesting conversation with a parking company owner last week (i wont say who), but they rang us up, asking how can they win etc and why did they kept loosing, had quite a good chat. He was quite annoyed at the BPA. -
Private Parking Ticket Megathread (Part 2)
kirkbylad replied to kirkbylad's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
Its nothing to do with Lease cars, but as you point out lease firms automatically pay them, as a company we are starting to change that and some processes are now changing. Its a hard challenge but we are getting there. The reason these companies are brought it is because of the money it makes for both sides. One retail park owner in Chelmsford is paid £1K a week by Parking Eye just so they can issue tickets at the site. The figures of PE tickets issued per parking space is quite startling As an aside we have hit a mile stone today with parking eye. We have processed our 500th parking eye ticket http://www.parkingticketappeals.org.uk/2014/07/parking-eye-milestone/ As the average ticket paid price is £64, works out that we have cost Parking Eye around £32K -

What you will find with most council type tickets is that companies will simply deduct the cost of the ticket from the employee, or the lease company will charge the firm and they will re charge the driver ---------- Post added 09-07-2014 at 20:18 ---------- A free parking ticket appeal (private) next time you need us -

Its a shame that you are so ill informed about matters such as this. They might not be able to lock you up but they can remove your car etc. It certainly isnt a "con" -

Advice needed on parking ticket

That Bonjon as you know is completely untrue. I am giving the best advice as I see it. I do this regardless as to wheather we are being paid or not -
Advice needed on parking ticket
kirkbylad replied to rhc1984's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
With these things you have to decide which battles to fight and this is certainly one that isnt worth wasting your time over. It will take your more time and money to deal with this then what you would actually save with the possibility of increased costs if you dont know what your doing and it goes wrong So again bite the bullet and pay it before it goes any further down the line. I wouldnt advise it if i didnt believe it to be correct advice. You wont get any where with your line of argument no matter how correct. -

Personally with this case, i would simply bite the bullet now and pay it before any costs escalate, for the amount involved it isnt worth the hassle of messing around with magistrates courts -

You are looking at it from the wrong angle We deal with over 20 cases per day now on average and none of appeals are based on anything that happened on the day. So yes you would still win if we were doing this for you, what happened etc etc, really has no relevance -
