That's all well and good and it maybe that obtaining a certificate in cycling proficiency 'might' fill the cyclist with road sense but they still run the gauntlet with motorists that are oblivious to other road users, they still need to avoid pot holes and debris in the gutter and they still have to share the road with fools that have zero idea of how to deal with slower moving traffic. I don't cycle but I can fully understand how they feel because there are some total tools out there behind the wheel of a car. Cyclists do some crazy things yes but if you expect them to you can avoid a situation, the problem is that a lot of car drivers don't have the intelligence to see ahead.
