He's just been spotted near mickley lane and he ran into a field. Someone took a picture that's now in Facebook. If you're in the area, please look for him. He's probably scared and missing his family. -

They had a call to say Quink has been seen in Bradway, Sheffield on Birchitt Road, family have been to have a look and are taking the foxes best friend fox Kit up there later to the golf course for a look round, unfortunately foxes are masters of stealth and hard to spot, especially black ones in the dark. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who has offered help, shared the status and for all of the calls and messages, it is much appreciated. He could be anywhere, foxes travel very quickly. any news please call 07791 993992 -
Promotional items for B to B exhibition
hotdogbird replied to Chez2's topic in Sheffield Business & Employment
We are thinking notepads or pads of post it notes. We want our details on everyones desk so don't want to ration the freebies. Hotdogbird; do you have a website? Yes it's http://www.printstitchpromote.co.uk It's got pretty much everything on there along with guide prices but I've access to the whole market including a huge range of recycled goodies too that tend to score you extra brownie points in your industry. So if you see something out there you like the look of, I'll be able to get it for you at a price to suit your budget. The contact details are also on there. Anything you need, just ask. -
Promotional items for B to B exhibition
hotdogbird replied to Chez2's topic in Sheffield Business & Employment
Hi Chez2, I have a promotional gift business. I'm happy to help and advise if you wish to PM me. I have over 10 years experience of selling into the exhibition industry, as well as attending and showcasing at them myself. Yes obviously I'd like you to order your notepads from me, but at the same time, if I can help with just a bit of advice, I'm happy to. I work from home so I'm pretty much contactable at any time. ---------- Post added 18-12-2015 at 22:42 ---------- I'd also suggest ordering promotional items that are not too specific to the exhibition itself but can be used afterwards for other events and giveaway opportunities. That way, if you happen to over-order stuff, it won't be a waste but a bonus for saving you a task next time round. Personally I love a freebie notepad, sticky note, memo block, but also something to write on it with (not many people do pencils any more) and a bag to carry around the expo emblazoned with your logo is always a winner. no-one throws away decent bags these days! -

Love this, great read! agree with every word -
I went for a family birthday celebration 2 weeks ago. I've got to admit, I thought it was fantastic. If you like meat (and a lot of it) this is the place to be in Sheffield. The staff were very friendly, apart from the one grumpy manager-he was an arse! But the rest of them who kept topping up our table with meat and alcohol were great. The only downside was the slippy floor. I nearly went flying in my high shoes on the way back from the salad bar! So beware of the salad, it's dangerous stuff! Ha:hihi:

Garden leave and final payment advice needed
hotdogbird replied to hotdogbird's topic in Sheffield Business & Employment
Thanks for the advice guys. I'd never chase old customers, that's not fair, and to be honest, I'm working in a completely different industry now, so very few of my customers would have requirements for what I'm doing now. However I do get the feeling I was encouraged to 'jump ship' before they got rid of me. 2 other long standing staff members were also treated appalingly in the last few months and were also encouraged to leave. One did go to a competitor. good luck to him I say! although he didn't get garden leave strangely.......he had to work a full 4 weeks notice. -

Yes and better news than that, my new job is going great. No regrets! Wish I'd left the other job a lot sooner. -

Thank you Strix I've just spoken to Acas. I'll give the ex employer until tomorrow to respond then I'll go down the preclaim concilliation route as advised. -
Hi all, I'm looking for a bit of advice. I wasn't happy in my last job after a number of changes within the company. So I found another job. I work in sales and to be honest I'm not bad at it. Anyway I handed in my notice in a professional manner and had a lovely chat with the boss who wished me well, and we agreed I was happy to work a months notice period. (this was on friday 22nd February) On the monday morning I was asked back to the boardroom and told to clear my desk, say my goodbyes and be gone by lunchtime. I was being put on garden leave, my wages would be paid for 1 month, and my commision for february would be paid as if I'd hit target even if I'd not worked the whole month. (nothing for March) but commisions were always paid the month after you'd earnt them. I also had a copy of this put inwriting so we both knew what we'd agreed to. Anyway, in my final wages sent (for March's salary plus Februaury's commissions), I've not recieved any of the commission I was expecting. I rang the company straight away who said they could do nothing as the boss was on holiday and so was the accounts lady. I was advised to email the boss. I've done that this morning. Politley asking if there has been a mistake or if there's a reason it hasn't been paid. I've heard nothing. What would you advise I do next if anything? It's quite a lot of money to just let go without a fight:(:(

Forgive my ignorance, I'm looking for some advice. I haven't seen a dentist for many years, infact I'm really scared of dentists. Luckily I don't have a gob full of bad teeth as I take care of them but, what is the difference between an NHS dentist and going private? Do you still have to pay for a filling and a check up anyway if it's an nhs dentist or not? I work full time, so would not be entitiled to any free treatment, or is it free if you're at an NHS dentist. I'm really not clued up at all.

only ever signed on for a period of 1 month, it was the most humiliating experience of my life, never again. The thought of not doing an honest days work scares me to death! PS: was posting from work (on lunch break)
