  1. speaking of boots, Ched should be banned for wearing blue ones, last week when he was ill, he looked so laboured, clumsy and inneffective, he may as well have put white stripes on too
  2. Even the return of Nosworthy hasn't put me off the Blades winning, 100% of our 3 pointers have come before he was injured
  3. I think we will win this game , I don't know why and I don't care why, I just have a good feeling which is odd after the last couple of days that I've had.
  4. Adams said: "He's back because there's not enough hours in the day for me. I've found the club bigger than I thought and his experience and the way we work together, as we've done before at Leicester and Nottingham Forest, will be valuable to me. "When you're manager at Port Vale you probably get three calls a day and one of those is from the wife asking me what time I'm coming home for my tea, but when you're struggling at the bottom of the table and trying to organise scouting, talking to other managers, worrying about travel. "There's a lot of aspects to management other than putting 11 lads out on a pitch on a Saturday. Harry will come in and work alongside me, we'll talk about tactics, players and what we do on the training ground. "I'm not bringing him in to take the pressure of myself and he's not a threat to my job. It's something I wanted to do, the board have bought into it and we welcome him back." Just read the above quote from MA on tribalfootball
  5. I'm not a fan of this over-manager type role but if anyone can come in and kick some butt and pull the Blades together , then it's Harry. I don't think that MA should need to watch his back, I see it more as a McCabe damage limitation exercise, KM is under pressure, the majority of flak is falling in his direction so its a Blade as manager which hasn't so far reaped rewards. All he could do then to raise his popularity was bring in a legend.
  6. Philliskirk scored twice tonight in the reserves, Maguire and Calve got the Others from what I read.
  7. A mate of mine told me at the match last week that Wardy and Quinny had both refused a training task and were told by Adams to get back in their cars and sex and travel in the direction of home. Rumour but interesting.
  8. Tonight was different , we were hitting the target instead of peppering the crowd, we looked like we had purpose tonight. The ref had no control tonight, especially over time wasting
  9. I used to love the Rogers and Gannon midfield partnership. Simple, cheap but effective. We could do with one similar now. I had the match ticket pinned on my wall for year after that game.
  10. I love reading this sort of thread, memories and enthusiasm flowing and me thinking , I've missed all that and those days are of the ilk I'll never see.
  11. I've seen how to play Southern style but prefer the winning way.
  12. Harsh. I enjoy Mayfairs posting , bit of banter and gives a fair opinion when he isn't slavering over his young French boys. I am happy to accept him and his foreign musings.
  13. It usually means, we've got it easy in training
  14. Who rattled your cage lol. He maybe the missing piece of the jigsaw, we've had a few good hasbeens over the years, McCall, Speed, Cowans, Kamara, McGrath. Although I don't expect that sort of calibre, we'll have to wait and see.
  15. I don't care what they cost as long as they do a good job. Now that is priceless
  16. He managed to kick Bishop Brennan up the arse when he was in Father Ted.
  17. I thought the defence generally looked well, both goals came from corners which Simonsen flapped at and the team as a whole failed to defend in the scramble. Mattocks passing was wayward and Parrino drifts across to Centre half a bit too much but I wouldn't blame the back four for today's result.
  18. Old Trafford is a great stadium, I wish you all the best in your climb up the table to get in to a play off position.
  19. There is no Gambling with his passing, it's backwards or sideways, so we end up with Nos or Taylor on the ball. He has got good workrate but not quite as good as Monty with all the nitty gritty stuff, he's not a bad player at all but not the player we need. Like somebody said earlier , you could build a team around him.
  20. My biggest concern is that it's the loss of another player that we own. (Owned )
