A bit of help from you lovely lot please. I live at Hillsborough and time is coming to get my 2 year old into nursery/pre school when she is 3. I applied for shooters grove nursery and have got a place so if anyone could give me feedback on what shooters is like as a school. Also put her name down for malin bridge pre school but don't know if she will get a place. It's so confusing deciding the best option. A bit concerned what secondary school she would go too if we can't afford to move. I have been told forge valley only accepting people in catchment and living at Hillsborough apparently we aren't. I think it would be awful if she attended school with friends and then had to go to a different comp. I don't know what school she would be offered if not forge valley because I don't want to send her to Chaucer also it's. long way from where we live without transport. Decisions decisions what do people think!

If anyone in the Hillsborough area has had a push bike stolen today there is one been left all day in the gunnel between Hawksley mews and Hawksley road. It is black if that helps?

Thankyou for your reply Clive. the problem now is that we havent heard anything since around 5 last night. They were quite noisey then but since not heard a thing. We had mice last year and pest control came out and put food all in the loft and that seemed to do the trick. We then had a roofer out after we discovered we also had a squirrel and he sealed all the gable end where there was a large hole. I have heard that the machines you plug in can be good but where would we put it because we havent got a socket in the loft. Also dont want anything that can harm my todder so can you advise if they are safe. Yes that's what other company did don't believe it's rats though. It's just we have had all gable end blocked up and yet again they have found another entrance. Will they look round and show you where they think there entering.

You gotta be kidding I am petrified they are bang above where I sleep so if I hear them in night I sleep on floor in my litte ones room. Just strange that only heard noise tonight when it started to go dark and not heard anything since.

I wrote squirrels out because last time only heard them dinner time and my parents had them and they only came and were heard when it was light. They were really noisy too but noise I heard today was loud but not that loud. It was like scurrying.

Does anyone know what the council do when they come out. Do they just lay out food or would they also advise where they are getting in. I have a toddler so really want this sorting. Also I am petrified and not sleeping.

Hi yes know what you saying but we had pest control a few months ago and they laid down food and came back and was confident he had caught them. He pointed some cracks out and my hubbie filled them in. A few weeks later I heard noises in the day and obviously ruled out mice and we discovered it was a squirrel. We had someone come in and sealed the gable end up and a big hole where they and the mice were getting in. However looks like the little pests have found another entry. We are at a loss where and my hubbie won't climb ladders to look and a cat is out of the question my hubbie is allergic to them. We have been twice and no complaints with the food but the waiters appear a bit unorganised. One especially we asked for some glasses and he looked at us and then walked off and same with the bill asked the same waiter and he walked off in other direction. They dont seem to communicate with eachother which does help when you work together.

Has anyone been to the new indian at Hillsborough that was Bella Roma.

I used to love town in the 80's starting in Marples, then legends and onto stone house and then fountain bar. Oh and then normally finishing off in Millionaires. They were the days.
