Dear all My husband was involved in an accident on Wednesday 30th November. He had just crossed Brookhill roundabout and was at the top of Netherthorpe Road when he was hit by another car. My husband was driving a red Mercedes when he was hit by a blue Astra. This happened about 9.45am on Wednesday. If anyone witnessed this please could you private message me? Many thanks in advance

Bridge Repairs near Deepcar
Bolsterstone replied to richard15's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
The bridge has been closed since May - very frustrating It was supposed to open on the 18th July - now they are saying the 25th I live on the road leading to the bridge - the works have been very disruptive -
Did you leave Stocksbridge High School in 1991? If you attended Stocksbridge High School between 1986 and 1991 them you may be interested to hear about our reunion. It is 25 years since we left school and we thought a reunion would be a great idea. We are holding the reunion on Saturday 25th June from 7.30pm at the Friendship Hotel, Stocksbridge If you are part of the class of 1991 you are warmly invited to attend!

Anyone go to the Gregg School in Broomhill 1952/1955?
Bolsterstone replied to Harleyman's topic in Sheffield History & Expats
My father in law Christopher Proost went to the Gregg School - he's 65 now. Does anyone remember him? -
A significant number of students went to King Edwards following the closure of Abbeydale Grange. This did not have a massive effect - however the school has gone from 10% BME students in 2009 to around 50% in 2015 ---------- Post added 29-10-2015 at 22:22 ---------- Including may I add, many of the youths who are currently causing trouble in the Nether Edge / Abbeydale Road area
-
I appreciate that - however I do not know of any rural pubs which fit the bill and the Hare and Hounds is probably the best example I could think of

What about the Hare and Hounds at the top of Stannington? It's been boarded up for years
