    Exciting New venue in Attercliffe

What a fabulous hidden gem The Library is! We loved the tapas and music and danced all night with lovely people. Great meeting you Aaron ?
  2. Hi, we are moving from Sheffield to Doncaster soon and need some recommendations of which removal company to use? Thanks in advance
  3. I’m glad some of the posters on here won’t be going back. What a lot of middle class pretentious crap! Bugger off back to the Blake and leave local pubs to locals. Some of us are happy with a pint of lager. How common eh? ---------- Post added 30-04-2018 at 15:01 ---------- I’m glad they have music, (which wasn’t loud) as it covers up some of the prentious hipster crap that’s spouted in real ape pubs. As it happens, we loved the place and were really pleased to see they had kept the old Firwood Cottage sign. We were regulars at the Firwood and will be regulars at the BM ---------- Post added 30-04-2018 at 15:02 ---------- We loved it too! ---------- Post added 30-04-2018 at 15:03 ---------- See you
  4. I do the same although I don’t have a litter picker. I just use rubber gloves. The council will collect it if you then bag it up. Also the streets ahead app is good. If you photograph the fly tipping or graffiti etc and send it them, they will sort it. Good on the OP for trying to organise something! I’d stick to social media to recruit volunteers though, I doubt you will get any from here..
  5. It was NOT ‘rubbish’ it just wasn’t your cup of tea. And I think there’s a clue in the name of the ‘local’ pub. To me if you have to drive or get a taxi to a pub, it isn’t your ‘local’.
  6. Again, why didn’t I think of that? I’m a psych nurse too lol ??
  7. Fabulous! I work at the NGH as well and this didn’t occur to me. I shall take them there, thank you.
  8. Hello everyone! I have a load of dvds that are from pg rated to 18 and I wondered if there’s anywhere I can donate? I was thinking of youth clubs or children’s homes? Please let me know, otherwise I will take them to one of the charity shops? Thanks in advance...
  9. Was going to the same but with less eloquence!

    Dahlia tubers..

Try Lidl on Halifax road. They had loads of dahlia tubers/bulbs, can’t recall what varieties but there was a good selection.

    Seasonal bonfire ban.

I’ve tried composting perennial weeds several times, but they don’t die! In fact they actively start growing again, plus the amount of bramble and couch grass roots we have, there’d be no room for any thing else. So, as I said: what do we do with them?
