Favourite Songs From Limit, Rebels, Leadmill Needed

Team Batfink have ended Everfink goth night at the Dove & Rainbow (1st & 3rd Wednesdays every month) and, us DJs being veterans of the legendary alternative and rock nights of Sheffield, have come up with the idea of 'Dead Nightclub Night'.

We'll be having a bash at reviving the playlists of The Limit, Rebels, Roxy's Rock Night and the old days of La Videotheque at the Leadmill.

So lovely people - what are the songs that take you right back to those days?

For me, I can't hear the opening bars of either The Smiths 'How Soon Is Now' or Killing Joke's 'Love Like Blood' without being whisked straight back to the queue outside The Limit!

Cheers Till Man - I can remember all the tunes from Psychomania on Thursdays at Rebs and one of our DJs (Mad Dog) used to DJ that night anyhow. I just don't remember the weekends, largely due to doing the Yorkshireman/ Sportsman/ Foresters/ Mailcoach run beforehand! :)

Pixies- Monkey Gone to Heaven

The Pogues- Fiesta

Cruisers Creek is still one of my favourite tunes and it always reminds me of the Leadmill and, in particular, the little cafe in the corner and Archie's brilliant veggie chilli.

The Cult song I associate with The Limit is 'Spiritwalker' - 'Sanctuary' is more Roxys - sick of hearing it now! :hihi:
