They grow in the nature reserve at Woodhouse.

They grow pretty much anywhere, it's just finding them! If you fancy a drive I can tell you where some are near cirencester... it's a bit out of the way though...

Otherwase, hedgerows, canal paths, old railway lines, all good places to look that are not to close to a main road.

If you don't have any luck getting hold of any sloes, Gordons do a pre-made Sloe Gin. Not quite the same as making it yourself, but very nice nevertherless.

Hi there, Just a tip, after you have made your Sloe Gin dont throw the sloes away, do the same as with gin but use Brandy instead, then go on and use sherry after that coat the sloes in chocolate, DELISIOUS, HIC HIC

P.S. be careful picking your sloes the tree has very sharp thorns.
