  1. Doncaster's own Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran Danny Mitchell, talking about his journey from a playfighting kid to a cagefighter. http://www.spreaker.com/user/podfathers/podfathers-episode-20-danny-the-cheesesc
  2. John Goldson, owner of a Sheffield martial arts school, joins fellow Sheffield dads on the Podfathers podcast, to talk about combining coaching and running a business, with fatherhood. http://www.spreaker.com/user/podfathers/podfathers-episode-11-the-black-belt-dad
  3. Discussion of the merits of both sports as hobbies in the latest episode of Podfathers, a podcast all about fatherhood by a couple of Sheffield dads. https://www.spreaker.com/user/podfathers/podfathers-episode-7-health-wealth-and-g?autoplay=1
  4. A couple of Sheffield dads have started a podcast all about fatherhood, in which they claim to solve the parenting issues thrown up by the children they've made. Listen here - http://www.spreaker.com/user/podfathers ---------- Post added 18-01-2016 at 13:02 ---------- Buoyed by the sheer success of that initial post... here's episode six: http://www.spreaker.com/user/podfathers/podfathers-episode-6-how-not-to-get-divo
  5. I hope I answer your question in part two - http://www.worksopguardian.co.uk/sport/local-sport/sportblog_learning_to_box_part_two_1_3511583 It wasn't unwelcoming at all. Quite the opposite!
  6. I've joined a boxing club in Worksop, having never tried the sport before. Here's my first blog: http://www.worksopguardian.co.uk/sport/local-sport/sportblog_learning_to_box_part_one_1_3487565 After two sessions, I think I'm hooked (pardon the pun). Anyone else just started, or a few months in?
  7. Story on a Bassetlaw couple in Christchurch who had somewhat of a near miss - here The footage shown yesterday of people running out of buildings injured and confused was horrendous. Can't imagine how frightening/devastating it has been.
  8. http://tinyurl.com/6d4ujxs Well done to Liam, one of two Worksop lads in the Scotland youth set up (Tom Mullen, formerly of Nottingham Forest is a Scotland U19 striker)
  9. Come on lazy bones, give us some details on each fight!
  10. Shaun Lomas (technically not a Sheffield fighter, but still...) was fighting in MMA (his umpteenth fight in a short amount of time) at Ultimate Combat. He fought for a light heavyweight title and lost, but considering the weight difference he did quite well apparently. The man is fast becoming a legend in the UK MMA community.
  11. The Night of Honour has always been free entry, for everyone. It's beyond you that people get excited about seven-year-olds with Leukaemia who refuse to let their illness stop them in their tracks, neighbours who risk their lives to rescue the people next door from a burning building and sufferers of spina bifida who achieve extraordinary things against the odds? Self congratulatory mass group hug, or simply the right thing to do? 'Some are quite worthy'. I'm speechless at that quote. I truly am.
  12. Here's what Hardy had to say about fighting Swick at 105, what the fight may lead to and whether or not he'll fight Paul Daley. HERE
  13. Really looking forward to this. My sixth live UFC event. Interviewing Dan Hardy today, I'll post the link once the video is online.
  14. http://www.worksopguardian.co.uk/spo...lks.5478932.jp Thought the eagle putt on 17 was going in, he literally came within an inch of The Open and went home empty handed. The video in the link includes his thoughts on Tiger's second round.
