Ok I will hold my hand up , had a couple in the early 80s . Looked great at first then after a couple of weeks looked like I had an Afro .  😀

I had one in 1977 grew so much it looked like an afro.

Went to Germany with the T.A  they refused to take me with my hair like that and marched me to the barbers, literally.

Had my hair short ever since.

My 1978 weekly passport I purchased to go photo had me with the perm, think I have still got it somewhere

I had streaks done in my hair too - burgundy and blond. Very 1980s
