skippy
was Brian Gill any relation to George Gill from Grimesthorpe, who played guitar in quite a few bands over the years, but passed away about 18 months ago in Germany.

The spout is still there out of shot on the other side, the square hole is where the handle would have been years ago. It looked much the same when I saw it a few months ago. skippy
Thanks for that geotom & Southweller, a friend of mine knew George after they met in Germany, and attended his funeral in Sheffield, and he asked me if Brian was related.
brian1941
Either demolished or converted into flats, like Rising Sun at Brightside. -------------- Hiya George, i was just going though threads and notice you comments about Rising Sun, just looked in my picture folder. i took the pics last year. Yes i've been in Rising Pub years ago but now made into flats. The same buildings but upside of Jenkin Rd. Railway Pub, i've never been in.
