I have had, and have now, some very good friends who are gay, male and female. It makes absolutely no difference to me whatsoever - first and foremost they are people I get on with and people I care about.

I have several gay friends (male and female) and we get along fabulously. My friend Jim is much more supportive of me than any straight female friends I have.

 

I can talk with him openly about things I would never think of discussing with them. He's smart, funny, kind, honest, non-judgmental, loyal and loads of fun to go out with. We share dating horror stories and commiserate about the lack of good men!

One of my best friends is gay but he's not my 'gay friend', he's my friend who took me to hospital when I was ill so my husband wouldn't have to take a day off. My friend who looked after me and was understanding when I was ill. My mate who I feel comfortable enough just to sit silently reading with and an all round good geezer. Wouldn't be any different if he was straight.

A further 4 gay male friends who i'm really close with since school

One of my best friends is a lesbian

A further 2 female lesbian friends

A gay men who is inbetween becoming a woman
