We'd like to buy a small house in Crookes

Thank you. I guess I'll just have to keep trawling through Rightmove. Would prefer a terraced house with a very low maintenance garden. Will need to park one car nearby. Does anyone know if Blakeney Road is a good quiet road?

 

The semi I linked to has a very low maintenance garden, 15 minutes with a £35 Flymo every other week.

Are you definite for Broomhill Crookes?

 

If you venture a bit further down Walkley/Hillsborough, you could probably get a bit more for your money, or the right house and save a few quid.

first one, Aldred is a culdesac, so quiet. Parking is medium (not good not bad)

second on blair athol, parking absolutely horrendous.

last one on brighton terr, nice road, quiet, steep, parking not too bad.

Good road, quite a few student houses, but won't be as quiet as some around there, as it's a bit of an alternative run through from School Road to Crookes.

That's not bad at all for the price, this one too looks amazing for 230!

 

Both look a bit big what what they looking for though.

 

There's this one with driveway just above Broomhill in Crosspool

 

Blakeney road is really not very busy traffic wise, the rat run is not for cars but for students on foot coming back from a night out. I imagine the perceived nuisance would be greater than actual nuisance.

The otherside of the main Crookes rd is less studenty, although every year the area becomes less studenty and more family oriented due to massive student halls getting built all over the centre if town.

I would come a take a look and see what you are comfortable with.
