kaleidoscope
Yes. We have taken TVs to the Crystal Peaks branch of BHF.
Victoria1867
Pretty sure St Lukes or somebody may be interested. It's not something we could use at Cavendish but I'm sure St Luke's or Bluebell Wood may want it. Maybe even Weston Park for their teenage unit x

Tobyjug
We tried to donate a TV to a Charity Shop, they wouldn't take it because it was electrical equipment and they couldn't sell it without it being tested!

That's true - we have a small shop in our reception and we can't sell anything electronic. One place may be Cherry Tree on Mickley Lane - it's a home for kids 16-21 and I've taken loads of stuff there before.
Ghozer
They often take them, but staff will usually take stuff like that home, because its sometimes risky for chariries to sell them, as they cant legally ok them as safe for sale... Imagine if you bought a TV from BHF, you get home, plug it in, it works, but then you go out, TV off power on... theres a short, a small fore breaks out... Who'se liable? I can assure you that the British Heart Foundation store at Crystal Peaks sell furniture and electrical items: https://www.bhf.org.uk/about-us/find-bhf-near-you/2014/11/25/18/46/sheffield-furniture-electrical-store If you go into the store you will see televisions and other electrical items for sale. gingablade
I think that you will find the item has been tested for electrical safety which will be all that they can do.
