No it wasnt martin peters who took you to the fourth, he only took over for the last few games....Hardly counts that.

I thought Peters was player manager for most of that season...think they were top of the league in October before their late run for relegation.

 

Surprised nobody's mentioned Ken Furphy - manager when they finished 6th in the First Division 1974/75 - their highest finish in the top flight post war if my memory is correct.
