  1. We are also thought to have a 25% sell on clause meaning we only pay £1.5m. Good business in my opinion!
  2. My lass was induced twice there. Both followed the same routine. 1. They will try and call you first thing to say they have no beds. If you have caller ID on your phone and someone calls off a withheld number, DO NOT ANSWER! They will leave you a message if it's them. Just play dumb when you get there and say you had to be out the house first thing so you didn't pick up the message. 2. They will then give you a bed in the wards and will call you when a bed comes available. 3. As if by magic, 30 mins or so later, a bed is available! 4. They will put you on a trace for 30 mins or so to check baby is ok and will do your observations also. 5. They will then insert a tablet somewhere near the cervix and send you back up to wards for approx 6 hours. You may or may not go into labour during this time. 6. You will then go back down to labour ward (beds available permitting) and if the drug has done the trick, they may break your waters. They will give you an hour or so before deciding whether or not to put you on the drip to induce more regular contractions. 7. Depending on if it is your first baby or not, you may be in there minutes, you might be in there hours but if you go on the drip, your contactions will come thick and fast. Our first baby was delivered approx 12 hours after she had her waters broken, our second took just 4 hours. I'm sure that not every labour follows this routine but this is how ours went. Hope it helps! Good luck with your sprog!
  3. Thing is, were all entitled to an opinion which some may and some may not agree with. If we were all experts on football, then we would all be football managers! In my opinion, Robson is a good choice and Kidd as no 2 will compliment him grately. Just think how much the likes of Tonge will learn from a man as experienced as Robbo? The very minimum, the guy should be given our full backing and given a chance to prove himself at this club. If were nowhere near where we want to be come Christmas then fine, have a go at him, but not when he's been in charge 10 minutes. Good Luck Robbo:thumbsup:
  4. Hang on just a minute! The general feeling on this thread is that Kabba is not good enough for the Premiership. So isn't it a good idea that he goes to another struggling team?? I personally think Watford are down and are perhaps preparing for next season in the Championship. The fact that they bought those two lads from Rotherham is an indication that they may be preparing for life next year. Good young players, but probably not the sort of player who will make an immediate impact in the Premiership.
  5. Agreed. Lightweight when on the ball. Has a tantrum when he loses the ball. Shame really:rolleyes:
  6. Best: My House, My Family, My Local, Bramall Lane:thumbsup: Worst: Bad roads, My job isn't in Sheffield, Hillsborough:gag:
  7. Is Michael Brown the answer to United's midfield requirements?? Yes he's well thought of at Bramall Lane. Yes he has premiership experience. Yes he can score goals. But he will NEVER have a season like he did in 2002/03. I remember him being VERY ordinary the first half of the following season before he left for Spurs. I think fans should look forward to the future, not behind at former favourites.
  8. But the fact that he's been awful at Everton could be in our favour. He's still the same player who did so well at Southampton. Perhaps the pressure of a big money transfer got to him? Perhaps a fresh start at a different club might be what he needs to reignite his career? Plus, he's not too old (late twenties?) so isn't one of these players who's only good for a season or two. Just a thought....
  9. Think that's a bit harsh on Monty. OK, he'll never be our best player and his ball distribution is shocking, but we do tend to perform better when he's in the side. He works harder than most and is a good player to have in the squad. (Just waiting for an onslaught of posts disagreeing with me now.....)
  10. Congratulations!! You're a winner!! You spotted my deliberate mistake. I'm such a sometimes!
  11. I have heard from a fairly reasonale source that we are looking at Andy Reid from Charlton. Perhaps not the midfield general mentioned above but a very capable midfielder all the same. I agree that Nugent is overpriced at £5m. He's got loads of potential but what United need now is someone who will perform now, not may perform now and probably will in the future. I'd love to see us go for someone with premiership experience like James Beattie. He's not playing every game at Everton and should cost a lot less that £5 (perhaps £2.5 - £3??). I saw somewhere that all is not well at Everton so perhaps he would be allowed to move on?
  12. Hopefully this will happen when Davis returns from Injury. Then Jags move up to midfield and create a few chances for our forwards.
  13. I gutted we never made a move for Kavanagh or Idiakez. £500k and £250K for two quality players. I'm not going to say I know Warnock's job better than he does, but I do rate these two and think they could have been good additions to the squad. Still, up the red and white wizzards!!
