nikki-red Posted December 6, 2014 Share Posted December 6, 2014 Has anyone ever used Timpsons (or anywhere elses) shoe stretching service? Does it actually work? My son badly broke his leg a few months ago and has had to have screws in his ankle. This has meant hes had a bit of extra bone growth and his right foot is now a bit bigger than the left. He loves his trainers, but is now left with 6 pairs of Converse etc that he cant wear because they hurt his toes. Ive bought him a new pair of school shoes, but I obviously cant afford to replace them all. Theres also the issue with new pairs that the left one would be too big! Plain Talker Posted December 6, 2014 Share Posted December 6, 2014 You can buy a sort of shoe-tree thing, that you can put in the shoe/ boot that has attachments which will stretch the shoes over lumps and bumps like bunions etc, and have a screw mechanism that will widen the shoe. If you have multiple pairs of shoes to stretch, it will probably work out cheaper than paying a cobbler to stretch a number of shoes? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
