Italian foods/newspapers in Sheffield? Where?

I am looking for all things Italian for a xmas hamper.

 

Does anyone know of anywhere in Sheffield that I could buy authentic 'Made in Italy' goods such as newspapers and food/cakes etc....

Try Braggazi's on Abbeydale Road - they've got a good selection of imported italian foods at their deli. They might have newspapers too if you ask nicely.

Won't the newspaper be a bit out of date once you buy it and put it in the hamper and gift it?

Lidl import a fair bit of Italian food and there's a newsagents on west street that do Italian newspapers .. actually I'm not sure if that's still open but I've picked up a copy of Corriere della Sera from there in the past, opposite the Swim Inn place as I remember

The Ranmoor deli on Fulwood Road is good for authentic Italian food, it's owned by a lovely bloke from Genoa.

Nonna's on Ecclesall Road has a nice deli, just round the corner on the side street

I noticed an Italian deli type place has opened on Oakbrook Road, had a hamper in the window with all Italian stuff in it. All the signs and menu etc are all in Italian as well.

Well as it happens, I found lots of 'made in Italy' items like handmade pasta and whatnot in both Lidl and B&M! now just for the deli's etc....

 

Re: the newspaper out of date, I plan to buy it a few days before xmas so it won't be that out of date....it's more for someone who is fluent in Italian (but not Italian) to sit and read rather than catch up on daily news. If that makes any sense!.....my search is on! Buono!
