New building on Bradfield Road, Hillsborough

To be honest I know a lot of people who it really appealled to (the statement about being serious about good quality fruit and veg), and it actually attracted them a lot of custom that would normally go to places like Just Natural in Crookes.

The fruit and veg before this thing was routinely poor quality and would go off within days (sometimes hours) of having been purchased.

Despite Morrisons being the closest supermarket we shopped at Tescos on Infirmary road for a decade due to the poor fruit and veg.

I can't see it being an Iceland they opening a store further down Penistone Road on the Mecca bingo site .

I thought that, but the planning has gone in for the signage so definately another Iceland.

Type Bradfield Road in the search box, click on links for "three illuminated facia signs:

http://publicaccess.sheffield.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=MO8H2PNY0H000

Click on the 12 associated documents link:

http://publicaccess.sheffield.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=MO8H2PNY0H000

Click on:

12 Jun 2013, Application (Drawings), HERE--> View Document Proposed elevations

This is the application from Iceland.

Also if you click documents from the developers:

Erection of 2 retail/commercial units with ancillary car parking accommodation and landscaping (Note amended site address) (amended plans received 21/02/13)

12/03960/FUL

and select the 10 Apr 2013 Application (Drawings) you will see a pdf which contains a colour picture of the Iceland signage with what looks like signage for maybe Barnardos for the second unit.

The planning permission states A1 and A3 use. According to what I can find - A1 is retail shops and A3 is food and drink. Could be pretty well anything then.

Well I suppose it could, but Iceland have put in the planning applications to display signs for and Iceland store which has pictures of the signs on the retail unit. Got a hunch it might be an Iceland.

From the planning docs:

Also there are additional restrictions on the A3 use of the second unit which I guess would make A1 use more likely. I think it would be a good place to move the post office to but I don't think it'll happen.
