Do you ever feel like you are being held back?

Recommended Posts

There is always someone with higher authority to hold you back....

Anyone feel like this?

Why are incompetent people the ones above us with all the control?

Most people probably wont understand what I am talking about... Hopefully someone can relate....

Haven't a clue what that means.

There is always someone who you allow to hold you back you mean?

It's easy when those in authority hold you subservient and you pander to it.

I've found my greatest opponent to progressing/achieving has in the main been myself. I've fought and won a few battles along the way but in general I lose.

Ironically I try to convince everyone else I know to 'take a chance and persue a dream'.

Sadly because there are many people who can talk the talk but can't walk the walk. There's one in every workplace, at least there has been in every place I've worked.

Not sure if this is what you are implying but that's my take on it.

Totally agree with this. I can sadly list a long long list of screw ups, bad decisions and missed opportunities. Occasionally The Man sticks a spanner in the works but it's mostly down to me.
