Tinson72 Â Â 10 #1 Posted April 8, 2013 How would I rent the land of a demolished pub? More to the point, where do I start when trying to contact the owner to make a proposition? Bear in mind that I want to rent the land and not outright buy it or have to bid at auction. For instance there are now lots of wasteland sites around Sheffield where there used to be pubs or petrol stations etc. Can anyone help me to find a quick way of contacting the owners of these types of land. What do I type into Google? Is it likely that the brewery still own the land? Does the Council or Kia now own it? Who do I contact? I'm confused. GrannyGranny   10 #2 Posted April 8, 2013 http://www.landregistry.gov.uk/public/faqs/how-do-i-find-out-who-owns-a-property-or-piece-of-land  Or firstly if you know which brewery owned the pub contact their property division. Tinson72 Â Â 10 #3 Posted April 8, 2013 Thanks. I was kind of hoping to find a list of all the demolished sites in and around Sheffield with the contact numbers somewhere. I'm pretty sure I will have to pay a fee to find out on landregistry.gov site. Hoping to just make some phone calls or send emails to find out really. Â ---------- Post added 08-04-2013 at 17:43 ---------- Â Anyone know what the main breweries are for the Sheffield area that might own these plots of land. Longcol   610 #5 Posted April 8, 2013 Anyone know what the main breweries are for the Sheffield area that might own these plots of land. I don't know where to start  Very few pubs were still owned by breweries - many belonged to "pubco's" like Punch Taverns and Enterprise Inns. aeinstein199 Â Â 10 #10 Posted April 9, 2013 Punch and Enterprise both have failing business models and have shut more pubs in the UK than anyone. (See their Share prices for proof!) Â They would definitely be your best bet....
 Share this content via...
