Tench ponds/Res

Recommended Posts

Never fished for them but I have been pointed to frechville(spelling) and Pebley res.

Any info would be great and I am quite happy with a few bream too.

Kiverton waters was a good place to catch a few tench, when I went you got a good mix of carp and tench throughout the day on the large match lake.

Frechville used to be excellent for tench, though none of them were monsters. Pebley is a hard water, so good luck with that one.

How would you describe that beautiful mottled green colour?

There's some good tench in Ferry Boat Fisheries Mexborough, i've had 6lbers. Awesome fights on the pole. They are pretty consistent too, in the spring i usually get a couple.

For volume, I think Harthill Res in summer is really good. Had one every 15min in June, avg 3lb.

YEARS AGO, we fished a water at worksop owned by a bloke called Kasimire. The last hour or two of sunlight we had a tench a chuck on the pellet. Good times.

I have had a look on google earth and there seems to be a few points to park, is the parking safe here? Ref fishing is it day tickwt from killamarsh tackle or on the bank? I cant see me going at the mo with the weather just looking to go as soon as it starts to warm up.

Now can any one give me pointers of where and some of the methods of how to fish pebley.
