mafya
Seemed to me like a protest that might inspire other women living in misogynistic nations to say enough is enough. At some point they're going to have to realise that having breasts doesn't make women property, now's as good a time as any. Muslims women and men don't see getting your tits out for all to see as a good thing. It's a silly way to protest really because now the extremists will say you are trying to spread your pornographic ways onto muslims and there is the point that the protester isn't a muslim either. ---------- Post added 22-03-2013 at 23:14 ---------- Hear hear. Shame it seems her bravery is reportedly being classed as a mental problem, though i guess that's a good get out clause for the backwards. So getting your tits out for others to see is a good thing that all women should do?

She's making the point they are her breasts and it's nobodies business but her own what she does with them. Brave soul as the head of Peace and Tollerance in Tunisia has now backtracked on his initial wishy washy liberal stance that she be whipped within an inch of her life and decided she needs to be stoned to death. Which is nice, if you're a fan of barbarically murdering people for protesting about basic rights.

megalithic
Its called an alternative view. But what's your view ? Should women be able to "slap em out" if they want to ? wherever in the world they may be. ?
mikem8634
Its called an alternative view. No it's not. When you claim that a statmemnt a poster makes about one female in one particular situation can be extrapolated to every female in an attempt to undermine the original point it is called a strawman. Where did anybody state that getting your t**s out for others to see is a good thing that all women should do?

You use the favoured word of football hooligans, and porn mags to describe women's breasts and even when describing the act of Amina's choosing to show them. That may be just a coincidence but at the end of the day a woman's body is exactly that - a woman's body, not anyone elses. She is asserting her rights as a human being and as a woman. What is pornographic about the shot? Do you find the pose provocative? What is Amina doing wrong? Does the fact that she is not a muslim make the act more or less abhorrent to muslims in your view? Mr Bloom
My Bold= Grow up! It was a legitimate question. I do not find the post provocative in the sense that I do not believe that Amina is portraying herself in a sexual way. I believe perhaps it is meant to be provocative in a 'thought-provoking' sense. I don't understand your response.
