Just heard on the news a 14yr old girl has been killed by the Taliban in Pakistan.

According to the BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-19893309 she's still alive at the moment.

well the Taliban are Muslim....they dont likr girls...... i can see em all queing up on here to tell me Im Wrong... :D Isa;m is a peaceful religion and all that :D

That would only be true if all Muslims supported the Taliban, which they don't. Otherwise the Taliban would rule every Muslim country. Not all Catholics support the IRA. Not all Christians supported Hitler. Not everyone lives in a simple black and white world.

Sure SKY news said she was dead. Lets hope she pulls through and goes on to champion women / girls rights in her native country.

Whatevers wrong with these people eh ?

At the moment Sky News http://news.sky.com/story/995612/anti-taliban-schoolgirl-shot-by-militants says she's still alive. They're not always right though. On September 11 2001 Kate Burley said “If you’re just joining us, the entire eastern seaboard of the United States has been decimated by a terrorist attack.”

Or at least they say they don't.

She is definitely still alive, up to just...

On 9 October 2012, a gunman walked up to a bus taking children home from school in Pakistan's Swat Valley and shot Malala and the girl who identified her. Malala was shot twice, once in the head and once in the neck, but her wounds were not life-threatening.
