Watching Amey very closely

Looks like there will soon be 111 redundancies, according to the Star. Shame such contracts are not subject to Freedom of Information laws.

 

So sorry for all those and their families who will be affected, don't know enough about it at the moment to comment further .

I wonder what those 111 were doing before being employed on a new major time limited contract?

I'm sure they can be re-deployed cutting down trees or filling in potholes. The fact is there is loads of work that needs to be done, but someone, somewhere, needs to get the money to pay for it.

 

Of course it won't be the private sector, unless they can take out more than they put in, or unless they are given guarantees and be underwritten by the taxpayer.

pfi is allways left to the taxpayer to pick up the bill :roll:
