Neither would I. My disabled daughter was stranded at the Post Office building at Attercliffe then. I was out of my mind with worry. The rain is heavier than in 2007, but it's much shorter duration, it's covering isolated areas so there won't be the rain coming down off the hills in the coming days and it's not falling on ground that is already saturated. Of course, that doesn't stop flash flooding with a downpour like this, but it's far less likely to cause widespread flooding. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
