not 100% but would say you need great insurance .

Public Liability Insurance cover. recommend one million pounds as the minimum. althou it sounds costly it may not be so . it cost me £150 to cover a speed boat with the same amount of cover

heres more info

Alot of competition about prices as low as £50 so really unless you had loads and you could rent them out each week you might struggle

the best way is to get freindly with a carboot owner ect and get a pitch like at oldcoates at £1 per 15 mins ect can make a good days income but be aware with out insurance you could end up with a nasty law suit ? as kids almost always hur them sellfs on those things

Hi as Fun2bounce Bouncy Castle Hire Sheffield we require this and more!!

You will need P.L.I. minimum £5million as required by Sheffield City Council and Schools in Sheffield

Your castles also require an annual test to P.I.P.A or R.P.I.I. standards

All electrical equipment PAT tested

Crash mats

Ground sheets

Spare Blowers

Waterproof electrical extensions

A vehicle that is insured for business use

Somewhere to store all your equipment

A website

A willingness to give up all your weekends and social life for 7 months of the year

Also join the BIHA and read on the bouncy castle forums about the up's and downs of a hire company of your own.

Someone to help with deliveries and collections

Just a few things to think about

And the PL insurance can be very very hefty. Go to a specialist as many won't even insure inflatables now.

Yes you definatly need public liability insurance, and a great one too.

When kids are involved and get injured you have to be so careful, it isnt just a business you can set up and go with.

We use Blackfriars for all of our RASCALS HQ insurances and have associated providers with castles and you have to think about storage, keeping them checked to the correct standards etc etc

I think he thought he could just buy a castle and set it up anywhere without any costs. I wouldn't hold your breath.

And have you done anything in response to the answers that you got? I wouldn't let any kids in my care anywhere near one since my daughter had a concussion and subsequent memory loss on one.
