TheFirefly
I would have thought City Lofts were very pricey, as they're bang in the centre and brand new. There are plenty of other city centre apartments which I would think would be a lot better value. Your best bet is to ring a couple of estate agents I'd have thought. Yes they are and I'd rather pay less if possible. I just don't know where to look.. I have decided on a city centre location though I've heard that a lot of these apartments have a high student population, wheras I don't think City Lofts has? NewBiz
http://www.velocity-village.co.uk/residential?gclid=CPnemsHWia4CFQcRfAodjRCf5A This might be worth a look. A friend of mine lived in a one bed one of these for a while. It was nice, modern, v convenient, but pretty small.
MikeDaMouse
I think you should avoid renting a flat in sheffield. You should buy yourself a Motohome then you could go to any are you want A motohome would be bigger than a flat & cheaper than the bus to get to work... Sounds like a winner to me:hihi:
doom bringer
to be honest I would rent away from the town center and use tram or bus to get to work or your car ..... most of the areas surrounding the center .you couldnt pay me to live in . http://www.zoopla.co.uk/to-rent/details/13974297 or rent a full house in same area for same price lol http://www.zoopla.co.uk/to-rent/details/16003726?search_identifier=00f83f074d59a7c65d05389305e8c1c6
GrannyGranny
There's plenty of choice in the city centre and its all pretty safe TBH. Velocity Tower is a good choice and you are close enough to the centre and also near to Ecclesall Rd for its pubs, cafes and restaurants. http://www.velocityestates.co.uk/apartments-to-let-c14.html Parking is tricky if you haven't got a parking place with the flat so bear this in mind. Leadmill Court is ok as well. Close to the railway station and only a few minutes wall into the centre. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/property-32667538.html

nubile
Avoid the Manor estate with a vengeance, it's rough and full of chavs. Stannington's OK, a few chavs on the estates but it's mostly populated by pensioners. I'm originally from lower Walkley, and I'd recommend the area apart from it being very hilly, and a fair walk from the shops/bus stops etc. Have you ever lived there troll. ? slh73
Avoid the Manor estate with a vengeance, it's rough and full of chavs. So speaks the man who's experience of living on the manor is passing through it once on a bus 15 years ago.
