Broken rear light

Recommended Posts

I would say it's not your fault, it's just not practical to secure everything that might fly away to the ground as soon as the wind picks up, however paying would probably be the right thing to do, as it was your trampoline.

Having said that, if you don't like your neighbours and don't care that they don't like you, what's the point in paying? I wouldn't.

If you have a trampoline in the garden it is best to take the safety net off it for winter and make sure you have a sandbag over each leg.

Or like someone else said dismantle for the winter.

I would offer to pay something towards the repairs as it was your fault that your trampoline wasn't secured.

It's just a pity the manufactures don't provide some type of pegs to do this with. They don't even let you know that they actually need it. We lost one a couple of years ago to damage with wind and my grandson was heart broken. I'm not taking any chances with the one we have now.

Why do people even feel the need to ask questions like this ,its a no brainer of course you should pay . If his roof tiles had blown off and ripped your trampoline for example youd expect some recompense I bet .

The only question is wether you pay him out of your pocket or if your own insurance public liability covers the damage and you make a claim via them .

Its your property ,for which you are responsible that you freely admit has caused the damage ,why should your nieghbour be out of pocket
