Kashmir Curry House

We have been going to the Kashmir since 1976 and are really sorry it has closed. It seems so strange after introducing the new menu. We have known "Paul" since he was a young student and helping his father there. Surely someone out there knows if he is OK? Can anyone do any detective work?

Thanks Paul for such a wonderful Sheffield institiution. Will miss the Kashmir more than we can say as it was one of our two favourite restaurants in Sheffield and you were always so lovely to us all, our children, Grandmas and friend Pete who comes over every year specially to eat at the Kashmir from Boston USA. Been coming since the late 70s/early 80s (first visit with parents of the Giles clan when we were all younger - mentioned earlier (Hi Ben!)) when the loo was outside with an amazing view over Sheffield. I hope you consider opening up again some day - your food was so amazing. Good luck in whatever you do next. Gill & Mike Hughes

Service in Kashmir is good, but food a bit like canteen food in my opinion

That's the point: it's good , unpretentious food (or was, sadly). if anyone's got any memories, anecdotes, comments or stories, we're thinking of publishing some in the next Burngreave Messenger. E-mail us on mail@burngreavemessenger.org if you've got anything you'd like to say ... or photos. Editorial deadline is Wednesday 17th November.
