Thanks Cid hubby lives at home with me but having our friend stay has been nice - even if some of the time she’s been in floods of tears.. but she’s been through an extremely tough time in her life.. which is why she’s staying with us in the first place xxx

Thanks Hippo, we are very happy with her staying here, but electricity and gas bills etc don’t pay themselves, so she’s going to claim some money towards rent as part of her benefits. I think we have an idea of how much we can ask for and how much we will ask for now ?

Hello, I live in Walkley, and have a friend staying with us. She has applied to the DSS for rent help - shes been with us about 2 months, we have not charged her at present due to her circumstances. We need an idea of how much rent (inclusive of all bills) to charge her. She has a nice room, access to the whole house, wifi etc and shares some food with us. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hello I need your opinions please! My dad is planning to get 2 student lodgers. He has a large pleasant but cold house, he is thinking he might cater for those who live there. So.. my questions.. Would you be happy to have your meals made for you? If so how often and what sort of meals? What facilities would you expect ? Like TV internet land line use.. washer drier, parking etc etc Oh and how much rent would you pay? Many thanks Anna xx

OH is the one in the Market still there? It's the same company. The one in Meadowhell had been there for years.. shame its gone.. I love their products

hello we used Clockwork in the end.. moving furniture from a 3 bed house from Hillsborough to Walkley took them from 8.30 to about 2pm ish and cost about 400.. well worth it, they had one huge van and did it in one trip. two blokes, fun banter, very polite.. I had put postit notes on most things to say where they should go.. and they did! Very happy.

Hello, can anyone put me in contact with Martin Olive please? He is a local historian that has done quite a lot of work in the Walkley area. My mum has written a history of her road, and has a lovely illustrated map that I think Martin created.. I'm looking for a digital copy that can be included in her work (obviously with acknowledgements) this is a self printed manuscript to be kept in the local library... not for profit. Thanks! Anna

Snowing in Middlewood.. hubby ordered a takeaway, put the wrong address on it, half an hour after delivery time we found out that they tried to phone my mobile (it was on silent, I had no idea he had given my number as contact) and now due to the snow they have given up completely!!!! Bye bye hopes of curry, goodbye £30 Flipping snow, and flipping stupid husband!!
