Am I islamophobic?

I think you will find they have been designed for peripheral vision Burkhas have not

How do you know they haven't, I'd suspect they've been designed for the wearer to be able to see.

If you look at the goggles I linked to, the size of the aperture is similar to a burka, yet they project from the face whereas a piece of fabric doesn't.

So what is it called when it fully covers the face without a slot for the peep eyes?

Have you ever tried walking into a bank and getting served without taking your helmet off?

I was standing outside a bank with a crash helmet on (not a fashion accessory, the bike was at the kerb) waiting for my passenger to conclude business therein, and was met by 2 police cars and a van :o

My car and bike were both 'flagged' though given that at the time the 'spotters' were videoing us most weeks at RV points and meetings.

A meeting with a couple of the guys from Belfast seemed to attract even more interest than normal.

Ive no idea, nor have I seen anyone wearing one whilst driving or the effect it might have on their driving if they did so.

As far as Im aware if something obscures the vision the police are perfectly entitled to take action against the driver.

im just amazed you managed to get a thread on here that mentions islam or burkas, ive just had a post deleted AGAIN because i questioned the legality of driving wearing a burka as i nearly got run over the other day by an asian lady

It was a long time ago (about 4 years since), but my brother used to work night shifts down Ecclesall Rd and used to finish between 3-4am. On one winters morning, he wore a balaclava to drive home in to keep his face warm. He didn't even get off Eccy Road before the police stopped him and made him remove his balaclava, and told him he mustn't put it back on :loopy:

He did question it but then they started to get funny, so he gave it up so as to avoid his car being turned inside out.

The copper must have been thick anyway. The copper asked what he was doing/where he was going that time of night. 'Going home from work' was the answer given. 'Where do you work?' asked the copper. 'At the casino' says my brother. 'What casino, there isn't any casinos around here'. Thick as pig ****.

I didn't say it didnt happen ricgem, what I said was the Coop would base their security procedures on their experiences, if they haven't had a multitude of robbers wearing a burka/false moustache or fake wig then they'll probably be relaxed about customers so attired.

The link you posted was for a robbery at a business called Thomson Travel in Dunstable.

i wonder if they are now serving burka wearing people in their travel shop? or again if they refuse to serve them would they be in their right given whats happened in the past ?

Are you sure it wasn't the furry dashboard and fluffy dice that attracted them.

I once drove into a petrol station late one night and passed a police vehicle with two bobbies inside who started making monkey noises-that's what some bored coppers like to do, make an arse of themselves and hassle the innocent public.

It's no big deal, there's no law against it or driving whilst wearing a balaclava unless it affects road safety.
