ladyB
ladyB is quite correct. I know from my own experience that after my ' flashing phase ' things got worse and worse. I used to have strange fantasies about various forms of sex just before I fell asleep but none of them materialised ! I was often tongue-tied when ' chatting up ' members of the opposite sex......and even more tongue-tied chatting up members of my own sex ! I signed up to all kinds of ' chat lines ' but never ' scored ' once. I even considered having a gender re-alignement but it was too expensive. I was in despair .......so, ex-flashers at least CAN have mental health problems[ ! ] .......but........pleased to say, I eventually solved my problems my own way. I joined the Des O 'Connor fan club, took up rap singing, signed up for a knitting circle and, generally, broadened my horizons. Now I have met the Love of My Life and have given up flashing...........etc...........etc.........for ever ! not even going o go there!!!
pattricia
I recall a tale (no pun intended) about a Sheffield buffer girl who was flashed at by this guy who said to her "What do you think to that?" She promptly replied "It looks like a dick, but smaller". Like it !!

I have decided that you are a nob and the amount of post's that you have put on this forum confirms to me that you have no life!!!! yes flashers can have mental health problems as can we all but please don't assume that flashing your genitals is down to a mental health problem because I don't buy that. I have met many many people with mental health problems who don't feel the need to expose themselves..
Fareast
Thank you ladyB for your well-balanced, rational and even-handed words of wisdom. Your insights & observations have made me take a good, long, hard look at myself. I am simply drooping with shame over my past flashings and will never do it again in public. Listening to Des O 'Connor and knitting helps-----but it is not the whole answer. Is there a Flashers Unanimous, does anyone know ? Can anyone recommend a good psychiatrist or social worker who specialises in Flashing ? No cowboys or sniggering, please.

Arthur Bell
In the early 1960's there was a flasher whose territory was Heeley. He was know as the Heeley Flasher. He eventually got caught but I don't know what happened to him. One of our friends was flashed. She simply told him to put that thing away - at which point he ran off.
