Daven   10 #1 Posted June 4, 2010 Abbey Lane will be closed from Chesterfield Road at Woodseats to Abbeydale Road at the Beauchief Hotel on Sunday - I predict chaos. Heads up for anyone traveling this way at the weekend.
 Share this content via...

Diamond Dog   10 #7 Posted June 4, 2010 Is this correct? Can only find this on SCC site...  Abbey Lane Temporary one way from Meadowhead to Mitchell Road for Highway improvement works. East bound traffic diverted via Bocking Lane, Greenhill Avenue, Greenhill Main Road and Meadowhead. Promoter: Street Force Contact: Andy Thirlwall 0114 2735261 6th June 2010  http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/roads-and-transport/roadworks/general-roadworks  That's a relatively short length compared with the OP. Have you got some inside info, Daven?
 Share this content via...
Daven   10 #8 Posted June 4, 2010 No inside info except boards at the side of Abbey Lane either side of Bocking Lane roundabout stating that the road will be closed except for access on Sunday 6th June. Apologies if I have misinterpreted the signs but it appears to warn of road closure on that date.
 Share this content via...
HeadingNorth   11 #9 Posted June 4, 2010 You've got the date right. Perhaps they've put signs on the part that isn't closing in order to especially confuse people.
 Share this content via...
