Anyone got any ideas about getting post in flats?

Hi

I live in a block of flats and I am constantly not getting post because they can't get into the block because of the fancy new door system the council put on. The trade button only works til 11am and although there is usually someone in the postman never seems to get in.

 

Does anyone in sheffield have any ideas how to get the post delivered every day through the security door?

a letterbox is not an issue the access through the communal door is. The sort of key it is can't be given out, and it would mean the postman has to carry tonnes of keys around

contact royal mail! as giving the post man a key would work but only if he is the regular and never has time off etc

Have your mail re directed to someone elses house, I had the same problems and have my mail sent to my parents

Are these flats on a timelock, if so contact the housing dept. they can change the time.

i once was doing leafleting.i called on the flats below southy social club on southy green road..i pressed the trades button..no answer,so i pressed one of the flat numbers...a guy came down,i told him im leafletting..when he opened the door.i could see he was on drugs..when i came back down the stairs..he had bashed the door off with a hammer..may be ill get some peace now

You can get your post sent to your local sorting office instead of your flat/house, you just have to pick it up from there.

The postman for the three tower blocks at Leverton Gardens/Drive has door entry fob to get in to deliver.Could this not be an option for youre postie !!
