Thanks for the compliments chaps.Shutter speeds for helicopters and prop aircraft vary on the speed of the rotors or props,useually 1/125 to 1/160 does the trick and for the arty stuff maybe a little slower. Paul.

Kind of depends which airshows youre attending Craig.Waddington (although not this year) a 70-300mm would do the job but sea front shows such as Sunderland or Southport you may struggle without some heavy cropping in post processing,i would assume maybe Blackpool would be similar unless you can get at the front of the crowd as the flight line at Blackpool is marked from the end of the piers not the promenade.As for filters they are not really that essential unless youre shooting into the sun.That said I use B+W UV-IR filters on my big lenses purely because they work for me. Agree ! Since when have Dr,s receptionists been qualified to diagnose people over the phone.It,s as though they want you to go to A & E or one those walk in surgeries so they can save few pounds.Agree with others,Make a Complaint !!. Paul.

All good pics,still cant get over the sound of raw power from four Merlin engines roaring overhead.Allways love to see the Lanc out and about.Hopefully in a few years time there will be another flying in the U.K. if the folks at East Kirkby get their way. Cheers,Paul.
