WintersMist   10 #15 Posted August 13, 2005 Hey you left out Rose! There's nothing finer than a nice White Grenache (Jullio&Gallo)  Then there are the lovely sparklings and champers! TUT TUT  WM
 Share this content via...
dishwasher   10 #16 Posted August 13, 2005 Red. Every time.  If anybody likes Rioja (Spanish stuff) Sainsbury's had a great offer - an no, I don't work there.  It down from £8.99 to £4.45 (something like that). 1998 vintage.  recommended, if you like red. Hels   10 #19 Posted August 14, 2005 Prefer white to red these days (only ever used to drink red). Can't say i've got much time for rose.  Can't beat a full bodied red with a juicy steak  For everyday drinking, hubby prefers pinot grigio, but a lovely crisp chablis is more my thing.  Veuve Cliquiot is my fave champers (just so you all know) and that's what will be flowing at any celebration. Cyclone   10 #20 Posted August 14, 2005 Red only for me, white is either too sweet or too dry, red is just nice. Might have to look into that sainsburys offer.
 Share this content via...
Zenmaster   10 #21 Posted August 14, 2005 I definately prefer white wine, though it has to be dry. After two glasses i'm really quite tipsy.  Can't stand red, tastes like vinegar to me, however I can occasionally sip a really good glass of red.  Favourite: Colombard/Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc  But the best glass I've ever had is a Cote's de Gascoigne from Cafe Rouge, pure heaven. John_66 Â Â 10 #24 Posted August 14, 2005 Red Wine every time. Never pay more than a fiver, they usually have 2 or 3 on offer at my local co op. Â Anyone recommend a good red for under a fiver ? I usually prefer the new world wines ie Hardys, Banrock, Jacobs Creek Shiraz or Cab Sav.
 Share this content via...
