truman   10 #361 Posted November 4, 2009 Plenty, apparently, and according to my history books at least two Chiefs of Staff of the IRA were English!  J  Obviously not apparently.....do you have links anywhere? (web links I mean, not IRA/Sinn Fein ones )
 Share this content via...
hollymay   10 #362 Posted November 4, 2009 no, but sinn fein aren't racists.  your kidding right? they are gangsters murderers and much more.
 Share this content via...
hollymay   10 #363 Posted November 4, 2009 It's not semantics, it's important. If we just made up our own meaning for every word we used then there wouldn't be much point in discussing anything, would there? I will say it again. British is not a race and you saying it is does not make it so. And no they didn't want to get the 'British out because they weren't Irish'. If that was the case how do you account for the number of English people in both Sinn Fein and the IRA? They wanted to end British rule in Ireland which is not the same thing at all.  J  so its ok to murder people because they are british, thats all fine and dandy. hollymay   10 #364 Posted November 4, 2009 You've had your answer - Sinn Fein/IRA has never been a racist organisation. They never stated as their aim to rid their country of all but it's indigeonous population (unlike the BNP). It's membership over the years has included members from many different faiths and cultures. If you want names, then go look it up.  mass murderers thats what they were and are.. yet they can be defended.
 Share this content via...
boyfriday   21 #365 Posted November 4, 2009 so its ok to murder people because they are british, thats all fine and dandy.  ..dont think John X said that, he was asking a legitimate question asked by truman
 Share this content via...

Berlin   10 #367 Posted November 4, 2009 mass murderers thats what they were and are.. yet they can be defended.  Sinn Fein is the political wing of the IRA, who were indeed mass murderers.  This does not change what the BNP are - racist. As I said genuine question,I was of the oipnion that they were a purely Catholic Irish organisation (with a bit of American at times)
 Share this content via...
Sidelock   10 #369 Posted November 4, 2009 no, but sinn fein aren't racists. So, is it worse to have views which cause you to dislike somebody on the basis of their race than to have views which cause you to kill somebody on the basis of their religion? Berlin   10 #370 Posted November 4, 2009 So, is it worse to have views which cause you to dislike somebody on the basis of their race than to have views which cause you to kill somebody on the basis of their religion?  Both are reprehensible. They never stated as their aim to rid their country of all but it's indigeonous population (unlike the BNP). It's membership over the years has included members from many different faiths and cultures. If you want names, then go look it up.  sinn fein are gangsters who are murderers, they wanted money and power and used bombs and guns to get it. they were bought off. the bnp as far as i know has not set off a bomb or shot anyone. the uk has the most comprehensive anti racism laws in the world and yet have not been made illegal. why is that? why can you be a member of a political party that kills but not a member of a party that wants to stop mass imagration? hollymay   10 #372 Posted November 4, 2009 Sinn Fein is the political wing of the IRA, who were indeed mass murderers. This does not change what the BNP are - racist.  they were and are one and the same, and you know it. yet they are no in the political mainstream.
