I really dont have a problem with this, i think its pretty cool, although i am imagining pulling silly poses while going through the scanner.

They used box cutters which are now banned in hand luggage. Problem solved.

 

I can't really see the problem. I fly quite a bit and have no problem with the current security measures. I quite enjoy the "pat down" and somehow I always get done!

 

You do have the right to refuse this new method.

They may well not be erotic, but they are pornographic. Pornography in its basic visual form is nothing more than sexually explicit pictures and as nudity is banned in public the images on this scanner can be deemed indecent at the very least.

It says it will be viewed by one person in a remote room and then immediately deleted.

Why do you think it's pretty cool? I don't see how you can find some jobsworth customs man staring at your privates, and those of your mum, wife, girlfriend, children, etc 'pretty cool'?

But what's to stop one man in a private room taking copies on the pc, with his phone etc.

Personally I think it's overkill, and ultimatley a pointless waste of cash, as well as invasion of privacy. There will be a lot of people not so unconcerned as you.
