Hi Pigeon, Did you like them pictures Peter R put on here,

yesturday, did you see the Moss st one with the passageway to

the back yard where you lived. Good un. :thumbsup:

Did you know where the tea gardens pub was on grimesthorpe rd,just above there but comes under earldom rd.and here's me thinking you'd done all pubs in sheff.:hihi:

you turn down crown hill, there was a laddies hairdresses can you

remember the owners name.

Also the shop next door, what was that all about. :thumbsup:

Joy Sutcliffe was the hairdresser,if my memory serves me right next door was a second hand shop.

Yes it was Sutcliffe shop, was they more Sutcliffe around.

I think i now remember a little about the second hand shop now you

mentioned it but was it a post office at some point, i know there

was a post office on Carlisle rd. Hope all is well :love:

Joy was the daughter to the Sutcliffes that had the shop corner of Ruthin/Hunsley St.At one time she had her hairdressers in the back of parents shop.That was never a post office Bri,the P.O was on the block of shops where the café and phone box was,was also a chippie and cobblers, a shop that sold wool and a shop on corner of Bland st.Can't think of the others on same block somebody will pop up with them i'm sure.:thumbsup:

Sheila wasn't there a pet shop at the top of crown hill/hunsley street I seem to remember going for dog biscuits for our Laddie he helped himself from the open bags that was outside Jean.
