So..anyone in Sheffield been 'Tricked' tonight??

We had 13 beautifully dressed up and well mannered kids call on us. Not all at once though. lol. I was happy to see they all had adult escorts as well. They were rewarded with the usual halloween goodies.

I hope everybody elses experience of the "trick or treaters" has been as nice as ours was.

We only had 2 groups of trick or treaters, which means there was a whole lot of sweets left over for yours truly.

It was fantastic round here! we had 15 separate lots of treaters

come, most with parents waiting, nothing bad happening- most knocked

at our front door. So because of the dogs I went round from the side

apart from the door been left open and the dogs got out, made them

run a bit:hihi: all they would have got would be a good wash from the

daft doggies- put the dogs safely inside and gave them some goodies

Even the shop down our way hands sweets out. All goodies were gone by

6.45:o so the pumpkin was blown out:hihi:

Can't be doin with 'em. I dug out a pair of platform shoes, sprayed them with silver paint, added some 'glitter' and left them on the step. Seemed to keep the kids away!

We had 3 lots of lovely kids. One lad had a rubber werewolf's head on, with gaping jaws. I said he could only have a chocolate orange biscuit if he could eat it through his mask. It took the combined efforts of him and his sister, but he managed it. I had the horrors thinking he was going to choke on my doorstep.

we only had a pair of young lads call. they were the most polite kids so i told them to dig deep in the treat bag and grab a handfull. My mum really went to town decorating her house with life size witches and loads of pumpkins, and when she opened the door ,in the hallway was a 6ft inflatable ghost with a blue backlight shining, it looked brilliant.... and she had 1 caller!!!

I shut the curtains and had none knock on the door. I'm sure they must have passed by as I live on Granville road and it's quite popular for them. I think the parents won t let them do it without an adult and as such they leave the unwelcoming houses alone. I do this because I don't want to encourage bad things happening. Having read this thread I might make the effort to get some sweets in next year and join in.

took my daughter and my best mates daughter round local but was way too cold to stay out all night like some do, but last year my boyfriend put a note on the door sayin ''gone for treats back in 10 minutes'' then we sat n watched out cctv camera it was very funny but i felt bad he didnt lol
